Well.. when 5600X was fresh I paid like 500 CAD shipped.. maybe a touch more. Heck my 5900X was just over 800 beaver bucks.

Maybe it's a realistic price then, does it mean the higher end ones will go up steeply.

Waiting for a Core Ultra 9 285k...

I'm gonna wait on reviews of both before I upgrade from my 12700k which has been a most reliable trooper since 2021

They’ll probably stick with the 7600X release MSRP of $299 for the 9600X. $349 would be an odd choice for 6c/12t CPU in 2024.

It would be nice to see pricing around $269-279 imo with the 9700X slotting in at $349-369, but AMD will have free reign with pricing until Oct-Dec so they’ll charge as much as they can realistically get.

Getting a 5950X was luck at the time , visiting Micro Center ,almost daily , and paying retail $799.99 and ASUS DARK HERO X570, plus getting a golden chip.

Ah , one signed by Lisa Su... :D
At the time only a small group had one , CPUZ bench mark was a daily thing , no more than five people here had one , forgot the software we tested with, most had Silver tier bin, a few golden tier , and Platinum RARE ,reviewers most likely got one , not all .

To be fair it is hard to take loonies and toonies seriously unless it's for some Tim's.

I want to see 9800X3D numbers. Cost, performance, overclock, memory support....

Why do we even discuss this?
Officially the CPUs are not launched yet and anything prior to it should be considered as a scam or a scalp price.

End of discussion.-
You are not discussing anything, they are.

If these guys were monks sitting around a candle while meditating. What would you rather do?
1. Blow out the candle
2. Disturb them by telling them there is no spoo...no point in meditating over that which do not exist.
3. Be Zen
