i have win11 pro usual boring desktop so i downloaded from steam the app "Wallpaper Engine"... but i wish i knew about a diferent desktop visual to microsoft windows (you can only personalise the wallpaper)

i saw pics of a cool minimalist pc desktop with huge clock timer in the middle and in the screen corner all infos about component temperatures and disc space... what was that?

uhhh classy... thanks for playing

and it is free and being developed for long looooong time ... since 2001. Still supports Windows 7 :D
I know you can find the link, but for anyone to check it quickly:

freakin awesome skins and theres creator comunity to help users, wow! need to change title to "Rainmeter - Alternative desktop"

Personally I haven't used stuff like that since WinXP days.

Rainmeter is kind of nice on Server Core but I don't have any real world use for it elsewhere. I stick to Q-Dir where convenient. I don't do flashy user desktops.
