Several AMD RDNA 4 Architecture Ray Tracing Hardware Features Leaked

I remember the days when your argument was "but look at how crappy the RT image is"
No you don't, because I never said RT looks worse.

not only is the picture you posted super low quality it's not even a proper side by side.
It is side by side what are you talking about, the image I uploaded is almost 1080p but it doesn't matter because you're clutching at straws,. If the use of RT is so blatantly obvious it should be easy to tell which is which, even if I am not showing you a zoomed in quadrillion mega pixel image.

Do you understand what side by side is? In your picture each side shows a different image, lol.

So you are not going to answer my question about which one is which. K, figured.

RT is a gimmick - you remove the ordinary lighting, and then put again some oversaturated, overemphasized mess and shout, but this is RT now.

I asked first, that's not how it works, go ahead and I'll give my answer after you do.

Anyway I think I made my point anyway, your refusal to answer is telling. It's 50/50 chances, you could have just gave it a try, oh well.

Then post a proper side by side dude, lol.

Anyways, the one on the left (the one that looks at the road) doesn't have PT, but it doesn't look like the one on the right does either, so I think you are just trolling.

Now your turn

Your link says ATI had 63%. But does it matter? It was way higher than it is today when they were making competitive cards.
you were right about that I was looking at the mobile numbers there. Finding it difficult to find official market share numbers from like 2000-2005 just before merger.

But I also think even with competitive offerings today you won't see the market being like how it was back then.

Bro can you answer a question properly, just say right or left, I didn't ask which is using path tracing, I simply asked which has RT, I made the question as simple as humanly possible.

Why not? I remember a time when everyone and their mother were buying ATI cards cause nvidias was garbage.

Ok so neither uses PT, see, it's obvious that it makes a difference. :)

Is it at least RT max or are you using some low crap and expect me to figure out the difference? Cause both look really flat, I can't tell which is which.

It used to be the graphics improvements were very noticeable, this isn't the case anymore, you need to squint your eyes to tell which graphical options look better and even then you'd have no clue which actually is objectively "better".

Here's a fun test : Can you tell which side is using RT ?

I will bet - the right one has RT, the left side doesn't.
But it is extremely difficult to tell a difference.

Marketing!

Brand loyalty!

It's really funny how you just refuse to answer, it's fine, just say so.

I am just thinking it's rather curios how someone who is such a staunch advocate of RT can't or wont, out of fear of being wrong, tell the difference.

Who the heck has brand loyalty to nvidia out of all companies, lol.

If I can't tell the difference how do you expect me to tell the difference? What kind of argument is that? If I had to bet money I'd say neither has RT or it's put to low and for sure neither has PT. How much more specific do you want my answer to be? I think you posted 2 images with no RT and then blame me for...not being able to tell which one has RT, lol.

You know, there are some of us out there that couldn't give a damn about ray tracing.

Because most likely neither has RT

Well, the right side looks somehow more washed out - must be it.

@Vya Domus What are the RT settings in your test?

If I can't tell the difference
You could have just said from the beginning you can't tell the difference, anyway it doesn't matter because I made my point, if these things were so obvious you'd be able to tell from one glance which is which.

lmao there are forums of people that will fight you they do exist

Cmon man, throw a puddle or a glass surface and then stop moving the character so our beloved US$2K+ gpu can show the glory that is RT! :)

So I was right? You posted 2 images with no RT and then acted all high and mighty about the fact that I couldn't tell which one has RT? When neither do? LOL

Most people on the internet (you know, the vocal ones) are fans of amd. You can tell on forums, reddit etc they are the vast majority.

It is a massive mistake to assume that every game that uses RT uses it well. A tool is only as good as the worker using it. RT isn't a box a Developer can just check and magic happens.

So I was right
You refused to answer like 3-4 times, I don't know in what world you'd count that as "right".

You posted 2 images with no RT
Even if that is the case you hilariously couldn't tell, you only came with this after you wouldn't answer which is which.

OF COURSE I couldn't tell which one has RT if neither do, lol. Are you serious? How the heck do you expect me to notice the difference RT makes when it's not even on.

Most people on the internet are fans of the underdog.

Also most people do not have a clue about what RT is and what it does. It's obvious that they expect miracles like pixel shader 0 to 1.
Anyway. We'll be here when the next big thing comes, physics, material weight and behavior probably, and the same ones will be saying the same things. That it's useless like RT.
