Excellent review and I’ve read most of it. How does this compare to some regular headphones like Hifimans? I’m very curious and I would love to listen to this, but I suspect that will never happen.

I have reviews of $15-20 IEMs on the way too, for what it's worth.

The Hifiman Susvara Unveiled, which costs more, is a decent comparison for me. Both are extremely resolving and do very well with a lot of music genres, especially vocals, but keep in mind that these are more portable, far easier to drive, and offer significantly better isolation. The Susvara Unveiled, on the other hand, can be more comfortable and is more open sounding with a larger soundstage.

Interesting. So you would say, that these IEMs and regular Susvara have comparable soundstage despite them not being open like the Susvara are? I'm pretty surprised.

Regular Susvara still sounds larger, but tbh it was never known for a large soundstage in the first place. I'd say the best way to describe the similarity here is both the Apx SE and the Susvara sound correct in that nothing is artificially larger than it should be.

Also, some IEMs with well-implemented bone conduction drivers sound so spacious that you really get an out-of-the head experience with them. It can be less coherent sounding as a result, but some people really like that experience.

I just received my set from Elise Audio last week. I live in the United States. I never heard these before purchasing but am frankly blown away. I also own Empire Ears Raven, Evo and Odyssey, Canpur CP622B, IE600/900, and IER-Z1R IEMs. These quite frankly are in another league. I have heard things I have never heard before. Detail is extraordinary but not fatiguing. It’s like Voodoo.
