Last game you purchased?

Imagine paying that much, getting excited when it comes in, and then you have all the connection/stability issues they've been having. I would have set something on fire at that point.
Especially if you are on Wireless like me. I am sure with modern Graphics that this will be beautiful but I grew up in the Arcade so quiet time in a Video Game like this for me is travelling through Gates in Everspace 2. Do you remember the Mission in Ace Combat 2 where you were flying in a huge cloud and the radar did not work properly? I am drunk so I am going down the rabbit hole, someone has the entire OVA Area 88 available to watch on Youtube. The Squadron 42 trailer is some serious 2000s American propaganda but the Gameplay looks as good as Wing Commander or Starlancer was. Admit it Starlancer had much better controls than Freespace 2 but playing mods like the Blue whatever back in the day was seminal. Now MS owns most of the Gaming studios as well so they will be the market. I am so glad that because it is PC there is something for everyone. Just like how the Free Games thread reminds so many of us that Prime gives us access to free Games as well.

When I saw the price I almost fell out of my chair

The Herpa An-224 it comes with typically sells for $70 or so on its own. Bag is probably worth $70-80 if you need it. Rest are just other collectable stuff and paid DLC bundled with the game. Overall not a horrible price if you want the model and want DLC for the game.

I played it yesterday for a couple of hours and I think the grinding is on another level.
Collect backpacks, take photos, climb on antennas, solve the lab puzzles, do this, do that for no reason etc. Also the gameplay is kinda weird. Basically I don't like the fighting mechanics while the roaming around works very well.

Anyway, it's just the beginning and like every triple A PS game, the story, voice acting, animations etc. are top notch.
The graphics are passable... Same plasticky graphics, like nearly in every PS game out there. But anyway I never played any PS game, expecting good graphics.
I played OG Stalker many many moons ago and don't really remember much. Speaking for myself, this game was not pick up and play. I had to get some protips from youtube, which I almost never do. I must admit the game is more enjoyable for it. I was approaching it like Fallout. I was also bringing my innate lawful good personality. Both are contraindicated. Playing as a ruthless psycho works so much better. Some of the NPCs tell you as much, but what am I going to do; listen to them?

Fallout syndrome was my biggest pitfall. There is no XP; nothing whatsoever to gain by fighting mutants. It's all bad i.e. wear and tear on the weapons, and a useless resources sink. Run away, live to fight another day. The economy is my biggest pain point, but certainly not a deal breaker.

I love the Half Life 2 ambiance it exudes at times. Especially the puzzles. They may not be as physics based but it's what my brain used as a callback.

Ordered 11/19......still waiting...any day now...

Um, as has been mentioned, this game is having serious issues. This is yet another example of microsoft releasing software without doing proper testing.

I'd say screw it, and send it back telling them to try again when it's actually properly tested and working.

It's being shipped from Germany, online order the day before the launch. As an early premium version adopter of 2020 I have faith everything will be okay.

new card game designed for two people, $16, was more than half price off so I figured it was worth a try. I have some star wars sounds saved on my phone too, so I will it have some proper sound effects at certain moments @Vayra86 i know you like card games too, so thought I'd tag you

might do some star wars OST while playing this one, could be fun, apparently it has a single player mode too, so that should be interesting

I saw this one too, but it creeped me out a bit too much.

It was cheap and my friends want to play, so it was a no brainer. I like proper creepy, so all the better if it actually is.

Haven't played much at all but so far it's Ark: Survival Evolved but without the shittiest UI known to man.

UI was terrible, that's true. A lot of other stuff was bad as well, it would make a huge list, a lot of terrible dev and game publisher decisions as well.
But Ark: SE had large variety of game mechanics involved, that no other game had nor ever will. For example taming, breeding tames to get the best characteristics, colours, raising them, using them as a mean of transport and as a killing machines. That made a big part of my experience.
The joy of obtaining your first Ptera, then Quetz and Griffin (best cargo hauler and flyer respectively) on an each new playtrough, is something I miss a lot.
Yes I like flyers, and the griffin flying mechanics were something else.
And note that when I talk about Ark: SE, I talk about modded private PvE servers exclusively. It was a great experience for me back then in 2018, and nothing came close to it in that manner. Played Conan Exiles for some time, not my cup of tea. To me, Ark: SE was a game of freedom, and all its drawbacks were just a small part of an overall experience.

Yeah I played on a modded private server as well, with friends. I have one friend with something like 5k hours in it and coming in as a noob and not knowing anything was a bit jarring. Plus I realized I play games for different reasons. I liked the exploration, but once I built my little Gentlemans Explorer ship, with basic crafting stuff and with a tamed low level flier I never quite understood what the point was with going further, or doing anything else really.

@Space Lynx I would have bought it on steam too. I think it was cheaper by £2-3 or something. Then I read that I'll be needing a 3rd party launcher to run it - e.g. EA App so I bought it on EA instead despite the extra cost.

The launcher thing annoys me to no end. If a game requires two launchers and the game isnt on discount on the publishers launchers then nobody will get my money.

to be honest the launcher for uplay and ea origin are tied to my steam account, so it never makes me login when i launch game, it runs in background, i honestly have never been bothered by it.

the only launchers that piss me off, are the ones that make me login.

On Steam. I couldn't pass up a comic book game for that price.

It was free on Epic Games Store twice, I grabbed it over there one time. Might want to check your EGS library just to make sure you don't already have it.

Stalker 2 , now further in the game , now its's addicting , just lucky ,no issues from the start , but these updates are a pain, I rather wait , and just reinstall , some time later if needed , right now just leave alone as is , once off the main Island , the fun start's !

Forza Horizon 5.

Done with FH4, won all the races, smashes all the ads, shooted all the cars ...
Nothing really new to do there, so going for the new revision of the game :)

Just download down this today. Now it´s time to play the game.

Good time to be starting Stalker 2. The patch improved minor gripes for me. Getting paid more for missions and loot, along with repairs being 30% cheaper, and armor being a little more durable are welcomed changes. I am 45hrs in and less than halfway through the main story. Having too much fun finding all of the best weapons and gear while exploring and killing everything fighty and bitey.

just got all these new games from humble bundle, old world, atlas, moonstone island, and the invincible were top of my list for awhile now, rest look interesting too
