hello all..
sometimes i lag and have stutters in game..
results in low fps..on some games..not all..
but on else game..it seems to working just fine..
sometimes i get 300mhz clock speed...while on 2000+ rpm fan
sometimes fans dont spin that much..as they suppose too while game in on..
plz help me out..gpu seems to be working just fine..

Watch for GPU Hotspot and in games that 6 GB buffer spills over the slow Pcie bus. In NV CP settings choose always prefer maximum performance as opposed to power saving. I have witnessed games that can't even use above 8 GB only thing left is to ease on the texture details.

16 gb of RAM could also be an issue.
Remember it's not a console:rolleyes:, so you have Windows (or linux lol) and other opened software eating a few gb of ram.;)

Monitor which game is fine and which isn't. Use something like GPU-Z or MSI Afterburner running in background to monitor GPU/CPU temperature.

Lots of topics on stutter on here, the card is long in the tooth and already bottom rung from the get go.

Which drive are the stuttering games installed on? And what resolution do you game at?

Check DPC Latency, windows updates running, background tasks - reinstall videocard drivers and chipset drivers, etc.

i have noticed that i have to apply thermal paste to gpu..thats the reason it was over heating..and causing failures..

So you wrote it had no paste when you removed the heatsink the first time correct? Did the die have a pad at least from the manufacturer?

I have written posts about this. It seems it does not matter. When I bought my Gigabyte Vega 64 I was getting the same thing the OP was. When I took the card apart, about 30% of the chip had no thermal paste. It was in the ribs of the heatpipes. Just like the OP fixing that corrected the problem. Here comes the kicker, during Covid I bought a 6500XT from Gigabyte with 3 fans, again the card seemed to run hot. Well when I took it apart the exact same part of the die was missing Thermal Paste. The GPU is so small though. Then I remember Gigabyte pretty much automated it's build process. This seems to be a trend. It also explains how the OP Joined TPU with this specific issue.

And this is 1 reason why i say no to their products

I LOVE their "budget" DS3H series mobos for good they afford for the price, but I HATE their graphic cards just because of SH*T fans failing and crackling very soon!

Idk the way they treat their customer base across the board just tells me nope.

It does make them cheaper. If you know what to look for it could save hundreds vs some other brands. My favorite GPUs are actually As Rock for how quiet and small they are and MSI for how well built the Gaming series is. Sapphire seems to get the fastest chips from AMD though.
