Hello. I am new. Very greatful for help.

Planning to buy Rtx 5090 with 9800X3D, 32 gb ddr5,1tb ssd.

Will this psu will be fine? Also cable connector to gpu will be ok and fine? It have 12V-2x6?

Its:

Seasonic Focus Gx 1000W pcie 5.1 atx 3.1 will be enough?

Also last question. Is this worth to buy 5090 instead of 5080? I mean differences in price and performance gap. Thanks

There are not any reviews or other information available other than the marketing from the CES keynote. I’d wait for reviews.

If not, we have a very serious problem. These 1KW boxes typically have that beastly 83A rail specifically tailored for PCI-E power.
With mine it should be possible to power anything upwards of 600W. Since a honkin chonker accelerator like the 5090 might eat that much, no problem.
DUAL accelerator? We might have a problem. Couldn't even begin to guess what would satisfy that kind of workload.

No at least 1350w PSU. I got Thermaltake one with my 7900 XTX and i9 13900k oc'ed pulling like 500watts on the gpu sometimes no issues. It's always like 200 watts for the hard drives; nvme's externals too you gotta keep that in mind.

My 1 kw unit handles a 7950X3D being stressed at 100% with my 4090 chugging down 580w so you should be fine unless the 5090 has some insane transients but I doubt that will be the case.

Prime TX 1000

Worst case you'll be in the 800w range give or take 50w.

1000w modern and quality unit like yours will handle it no problem as stated by multiple brands, that other guy needs to understand a how PSU handle spikes before he offers ignorant opinions

This PSU should be fine. Now if it’s worth spending almost 1K more for 5090 vs 5080…. If you will use the GPU for gaming and work, probably yes. If mostly gaming, wait for reviews.

A good quality PSU is rated power + spikes
It won't explode if it pulls 1001 watts for 1 ms

you mean it meets "ATX spec"? Not exactly a high bar to jump over
