Is this the right place to look?

That's right, what driver did you try to install?
First of all, check if your kernel isolation function is enabled. If this is the case, then you need to disable memory integrity.

I tried your "SBXF_PCDRV_2_18_0018 (Support_Win10+)" driver installer... but earlier today, I also tried the official driver installer "SBXF_PCDRV_L11_2_30_0012.exe" and got the same error message about not detecting a supported product.

I checked, and memory integrity is switched off!

Your card needs these drivers, versions 2.40.0019 or 2.17.0008, not the ones you installed. https://www.mediafire.com/folder/p15y88vmykfaf/Drivers+for+CA20k2

Thank you very much for all your help, Antes!

I installed your custom drivers and it's back to recognising the sound card as a Creative SB X-Fi! It was a scary install though - it rebooted, made some popping sounds, and hung twice. Completely stalled, not even the reset button responded. It worked eventually, though! Thank you again!

Good day everyone! Here you can find driver packages modified by me for X-Fi audio cards.

Updated catalog with modified drivers.

Instructions for installing\reinstalling the driver:
1. Disable driver updates from Windows Update.
2. Remove the old driver.
3. Clean up the remaining driver, for example using Driver fussion.

4. Install a new driver.
great to see driver for sound card, since many just abandon it, even the sound card works fine lack of driver will end it

The card, of course, should not behave this way when installed. The best option is to remove the driver through the control panel\Uninstall Programs, clean out the remains of the driver (I use Driver Fusion) and install the driver again.

Hello Antares533. First of all thank you very much for your work maintaining accessible these sound cards, so new people can discover them as I also did recently.

I've built a dedicated low profile PC for playing the XP era games, I recently installed a X-Fi Xtreme Gamer I'm currently using other drivers and would love to test yours. Could yo make your drivers compatible with Windows XP?

My sound card is Creative X-Fi and I'm running Windows 7 (I hesitate to say that for fear of backlash). Can you tell me which, if any of these drivers is suggested:

SBXF_PCDRV_L11_2_30_0012_Oficial_driver.rar
XFRL_PCDRV_L11_3_00_2022_Oficial_driver.rar
XFTI_PCDRV_L11_2_40_0019_Oficial_driver.rar

My apologies if this is mentioned somewhere and I missed it, I did look for this.

What is the specific card number? SBxxxx?
I'm not sure where to find that, but in the system specs for my computer I see "X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional". If you can tell me where to look, I'd be happy to try and find the card number.

For X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional, driver 2.40.0019 and 2.17.0008 are suitable.

Norton is detecting a possible Trojan infection with the file (the 2.40.0019 driver) and has quarantined it. Threat name is "Win32:Evo-gen [Trj]". I take it this is a false positive?

Hello Antes533, I'm having a problem with the drive in Fortnite, when I open the game the sound simply disappears, it only comes back when I restart the computer, do you know how to solve it?

Use the default output device in Fortnite
If you play Fortnite, try setting the default output device:

1.Launch Fortnite.
2.Go to Settings in the game, then select the Audio tab.
3.In the Sound settings, open Sound Output Device and select Default Output.
4.Save

I tried reinstalling another drive to test, the XFTI_PCDRV_LB_2_17_0008С drive works normally on the computer (but I have no sound in Fortnite) I tried to put the XFTI_PCDRV_L11_2_40_0019, it installs but doesn't work properly, I try to open the creative application it says it is not supported

I can confirm this issue, when opening the game (Fortnite) the audio is lost and it is not fixed until the PC is restarted. X-FI Titanium Fatality | Win10 Pro 22H2.

Edit: Could the problem be related to Exclusive WASAPI support? When I activate WASAPI in Audacity and record audio, when I try to play it, it reports the problem of not being able to open the audio device, although I still get no audio...

In the game itself, did you set the audio output to the x-fi card?
Checked Fortnite, there is sound. Win11\24h2

What card and operating system?
win 11 24h2 with x-fi titanium, I think the driver has now been installed, I disabled Windows auto update, uninstalled the driver, removed it with Drive Fusion, Disable Driver Signature Enforcement and installed the driver and now Creative opens normally but in the device manager it shows the drive as 6.0.240.26

and in all games it works normally except for fortnite

I tested both setting the game output to default and creative and both audio disappears, it seems like something more related to the drive because it disappears from the entire PC, only after restarting it, not just for the game... there is a hiss sometimes until the game is closed.

what ur card?

If you installed driver version 2.40.0019, then everything is correct.

X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion. The game has sound and it doesn't disappear. Is CtXfiHlp enabled in startup?
Yes with 2.40.0019

Ctxfihlp is enabled

In the game's audio options, X-Fi is selected, but as soon as initializing the game modules, it "knocks out" the driver, so it's useless. Selecting Realtek works without any problems but even if it is selected before opening the game, the x-fi stops working... I also tried disabling exclusive mode in Windows but that didn't work either.
As a Creative card user, I know that when the card stopped working due to some kind of conflict, Windows detected that the audio service had been cut off and worked erratically. Here it's different; Windows continues to function normally, along with YouTube and Foobar, but you can't hear anything from the X-Fi card.

Tonight, I tested extensively to see if there was a way to recover the audio without restarting the PC, but it wasn't possible, not even restarting the Windows Audio Services... Perhaps, as mentioned before, the anti-cheat system does something that overrides the driver. Cheers!
