7900XT - Lower my GPU too constatly be running 500-600rpm

Maybe next step is to get a better case to isolate noise... Right now i have the fratal north case with glass panel... Is there alot of different in cases for more noise canceling?!
If noise isolation is top-priority, a more Workstation- or Server- style Tower Chassis will probably be more fitting. I'd personally avoid having a windowed case; often, the solid side panels (in these kinds of cases) will include better insulation/dampening.

Be Quiet, makes several tower cases, w/ dampening.
"Silent Base" appearing to be their silence-focused chassis.

Fractal Design has some, too. -Generally, the 'Define 7' and 'Pop' series.

Cooler Master has their Silencio series.

Antec used to make a few Server/Workstation towers specifically for your kind of needs. Looks like they still do, today.

Alternatively, pick out a chassis you like (or, already have) and buy+apply Dynamat, Resonix, NVX, etc. or other noise-dampening foam/material.

If i do that it just keep running at 1k rpm... would love too have lower rpm in leasser demanding games and when doing office work
Get a waterblock

I came to the conclusion to create for each game and desktop use a separate gpu profile.
power consumption, temperature and fan noise are much better as the lazy "default" settings in windows 11 pro with a radeon 7800xt.

if you bought amd trash, like myself with the msi radeon 6800 z trio get another more quiet graphic card. Some amd graphic cards are insanely loud. the asrock challenger 6600XT 8GB d was medium loud. the powercolor 7800xt is quiet for myself and according to several tests. Msi has nice hoax marketing. Does not change the fact that my card was like an airplane starting at 40% pwm according to windows 11 pro and the amd windows gpu driver.

I saw recently a few more quiet cards like the powercolor 7800xt hellhound. a few months ago i only saw those airplane graphic cards.

You didn't buy amd trash, you bought msi trash, msi is still gpp and they proved it with the rx 5700/xt evoke, it's why they have no rx9000 gpus, AMD cut them off.

Speaking of....
I'm working on an MSI RX 6900 XT right now as I type this, that was built with the wrong cooler and has worse than no PCB reinforcement.
The PCB was warped, but I've managed to de-warp it, by running it in an old 'upside down ATX' Lian-Li. (it otherwise actively bananas itself in a normal ATX case.)

Yeah i really wish i had more focus on the chassis when i build my pc, for now i will try and see if i can get a mesh side panel separte from fratal instead of the glass

And you proved a point right there, they use a cooler that maybe good for NV but doesn't work for amd.

It's not the cooler. You just can't have control of the first 25% fan duty cycle. It's either 0rpm or 1000-1100 rpm.

And already said shunt mod and waterblock. I affirm this action. But maybe no shunt mod for this guy.... I dunno. lol.

No shunt mod, waterblock is best solution if person wants 'silence'

Was really hoping it was possible too maybe edit a xml profile to setup fan speed mnually that way... but not sure if it save to do

Maybe try a program called Fan control.

Cant go under 20% its just forcing it back to 20% even tho im setting the Curve under

TBH running 500-600 RPM all the time is more of a good thing than a bad as it will help the capasitors in the long term.

Indeed. Wish more cards will come with this instead of trh uselessness of zero rpm mode... Worst feature ever.

When i play low demanding game i keeps Turning on and off every 3 -5 min all the time. So i have to make different profiles in adrenaline and switch it around just for normal use on a gaming /office pc.

Yeah 1st thing i turn off then use Fan control to control it, how ever fan control don/t know the actual speed but it ramps up with other case fans when needed.

What card do you have?? i cant get my GPU under 1k RPM

edit: Ahh you have the 6950. Maybe thats the lowest for yours?

Also seems like yours are locked at 15%... mine are locked at 22%

Fan control cannot get a reading on it, it's actually 500RPM ( slowest possible speed ) and Fan control changes the graph in amd's software to a flat line.

So i need to get a 6000 series to get a lower rpm?? maybe the triple fan gpu is higher on standard rpm on general?

Just be happy with what you have :), seems to be more about the AIB than series.

As you said your self the XFX 7900XT did not have this issue.
