NVIDIA GeForce 576.40 WHQL Drivers Released

How many times they've fixed the 'already fixed' issues?

love how many here are rolling back drivers, which is one of the things Nv states for quite a while NOT to do.

if that fixes the issue does it really matter what they say?

@cal5582 Which version please? Is that the most stable one?
Game Ready 566.36, the last of the 566 series. This is the recommendation from multiple sources (including some game devs), not just some random TikTok luser.

This assumes you aren't playing any games that have been launched since December 2024. Using the December 2024 driver is worth a shot anyhow since playing a game with unoptimized settings might be better than running a driver that crashes. Your call.

Feel free to use DDU liberally and switch between the two to determine which driver works best for the specific software (plural) you are running. The answer will not be the same for everyone.

Best of luck.

@cal5582
to make it clear, im not talking about using a previous driver, but a rollback without uninstall/cleaning.

unless you have any insight of (Nv) drivers and rollback, and can sfate it is never an issue, just because it "works", doesnt mean its a good idea. too many ppl without troubleshooting knowledge might end up here after a websearch, and are unable to remedy if it goes south.

@cvaldes
i remember having micro stutter in some thins prior to 57x.xx, and certain sfutter/sync issues were fixed by Nv, but it might have been something else.
since im now on a fresh install and 2nd newest working, i might image os and try the other one again

oh yeah, always do a clean install of drivers if you can help it.
