Awesome as allways @W1zzard :) , is PNY still TPU's "sponsor" or whatever it's called btw?
Great non noisey and semi good thermal's on this card, it is up against that vanguard monster though.(would have thought with 7 heat pipes it would have been a bit cooler)
If it need's a home at any point.... :D

Strange that increasing the power limits don't really help much? Was going to flash my bios to unlock higher power limits, but seems unnecessary as even extra 50W won't change much of anything.

Yeah, the 5070 Ti hits its power limit only very rarely, only with RT or non-gaming stuff like Furmark

Looks like PNY was cooking hard this gen. I have their Epic-X ARGB OC 5090 and it overclocks like a dream with almost no noise and great temps. These Epic-X cards really are their XLR8 cards on steroids.

It's nice to see all 7 heat pipes extending to the flow area and saving a lot of weight, unlike the MSI Vanguard, which only has 4 pipes in this area and is 400 grams heavier with identical noise performance.

"Sold out in the US" There are 25+ right now at my local MC. The problem is they are $999.99 minus $100 with Member Pricing. This generation might be the last generation I buy a PC part if they lock good stuff behind their paywall and mark it up artificially just to bring it back to where they price should be after paying them a membership fee. One can only take so much scummy tactics.

What's with the ">" blocking more than 50% of the flow through on the back of the card?

Looking at the cooler comparisons and the tear down, I wish they’d turn these monsters into a two fan design, eliminating the 3 fan and pass through area. Seems they’d still provide good enough thermal performance.

I was looking at that. putting my hand around that area indicates that It does restrict flow, but the fans have enough pressure so that air is being forced through the top and bottom of the fin-stack, right out the sides of the card (where PNY was smart enough to leave big gaps at the ends instead of extending the shroud to add lighting there like what MSI did with the Vanguard and such models)

Backside of the V seems to be screwed on and house the electrical part that lights the V. The other side, you can dremel off. I can't believe they had the need to add this. Is there a need to have the V lit up? Is that some kind of premium mark to show off? Paying for unnecessary stuff.

Unfortunately we're still dealing with the "RGB phase" where adding RGB seems to mean its a better product for gaming. Much like how RGB made Corsair a premium brand. Hopefully it tones town soon

@W1zzard would you mind posting your TPU custom scene for CS2 in the Workshop? I use a benchmark map from the Workshop and I only get 525 avg fps at 1440p with my 5090 FE (see my system specs). Or is it like proprietary work and is a TPU asset or something?

Great content as always, dear @W1zzard, thumbs up!

Only 8% improvement over 4070 TIS?
I'm a bit disappointed, but what from Nvidia doesn't disappoint at this point

Ah sorry, I only look at available to ship. $1k is a pretty steep price though, but I dont think other 5070 Tis are substantially cheaper?

Thanks for the review @W1zzard !

According to the last 3 GPU testing articles, the drivers used were as follows:

PNY GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Epic-X RGB Plus OC Review (May 14th)
RTX 5060 Ti: 575.94 Press Driver
Other NVIDIA cards: 572.83 WHQL
AMD: 25.3.2 Beta
Intel: 101.6732 Beta

DOOM: The Dark Ages Performance Benchmark Review - 40 GPUs Tested (May 9th)
NVIDIA: 576.40 Prerelease
AMD: 25.5.1 WHQL
Intel: 101.6790 WHQL

ASRock Radeon RX 9070 Steel Legend OC Review (May 6th)
RTX 5060 Ti: 575.94 Press Driver
Other NVIDIA cards: 572.83 WHQL
AMD: 25.3.2 Beta
Intel: 101.6732 Beta

On all 3 occasions you used the same setup [Test System - GPU 2025.2] but on may 6th you used one set of drivers, then on may 9th another set, and, finally, on may 14th you went back to the set used on may 6th.

What was the reasoning for this back and forth driver-wise ?
Take care!

hey wizzard can you please add in the section "power limits", next to the maximum power limit allowed, also the MINIMUM power limit allowed? this would be very helpful specifically with amd but also nvidia

Structural support, but yeah, would have made honey comb inserts on the inside of the V.

Honeycomb being the superior design for shape structure integrity.

I have the PNY RTX 5080 and this review confirms my fears that PNY uses traditional thermal paste instead of PTM7950... Guess I'm going to have to repaste it at some point as it doesn't even have a hotspot sensor...

@W1zzard If I could ask You, in oc tab You mention time spy extreme gt1 it means graphic test 1?
