So from my research, I have found the opposite to be true. the Asus 5080 TUF comes as
the top in terms of quality. In the video linked, this guy shows how the components are superior to most competition (shielded coils, quality MOSFETs, clean assembly), the PCB is longer and varnished, and the fan system is top notch. Card is supposed to have no coil whine and last much longer.
As far as my personal experience for the past two days:
- Card extremely quiet
- Size is acceptable (not as big as this crazy Aorus Master which didn't fit in my case as is)
- Very powerful (8800 in Steel Nomad by default with my 5950x, 63 degress GPU in load)
- Zero coil whine
- Beautiful, simple design
I really like it and can only recommend from my perspective, but still overpriced at $1650 VAT included. It's the same for the 9070 XT.
(sidenote: MSI consistantly comes as poorest quality in components and assembly among all brands)
