As long as they come in at $399 or under I will be buying these. I almost bought the Bose ANC last year on sale but chickened out. I am glad I waited. Soon brothers. Soon silence will be all around me, and it will be more glorious than anything!!!!

FUCK LAWNMOWERS BEING USED 24/7 WHERE I LIVE EVERY DAY WHY THE FUCK DO THE MOW THEIR YARDS SO MUCH

ANC WASH OVER ME, I HAVE WAITED FAR TOO LONG

I have some ANC earbuds, but I want to experience top tier ANC as my earbuds only cost $20 and don't do that great of a job

$450 if the leaks are to be believed.

As for ANC, sure get them and try them out, but I can't imagine them being significantly better than current ANC. "Lowering the noise of my neighbours lawnmovers" is a better expectation than "isolating all noise" however.

I have recommended those in the past, the Lynx was not impressed. :(

I already own a pair of these. I have mentioned in the past, I think to @VSG and @lexluthermiester though only, that I wear them when vacuuming, etc. They won't work for 90% of the stuff I do though, with the MX6 I will be able to play games, music, podcasts, audible, just a lot more stuff without having to hear the nonsense of the world.

I also am looking forward to reviews on this MX6, it does seem like ANC is getting better at blocking out voices and higher notes as time goes on and the tech gets better, Shure makes a ANC headphone that apparently blocks voices very well, but I never tried them due to iffy build quality I read about. So, I am hoping these MX6 also block voices and not just low sounds from lawnmowers, etc

Oh yeah... Now I remember. You own just the protectors and not the headsets though, I believe.

Why not? They have BT. And a good microphone, if you ever need it. Not much bulkier than the Sonys. Good build quality.

But please buy something and come back with impressions. I'd be very interested in reading about your experiences using any ANC headphones.

Biggest question for me: is NC still full-auto only like XM5 or adjustable like all models before it?

Congratulations! $449, no surcharges for being early?
If you by chance install Sony's Sound Connect app, could you please check if there's an adjustable noise cancelling slider in there that could be just set to max level forever? Thank you.

reviews have already stated there is no way to change the ANC manually. but i will check anyway because yes this annoys me as well.

its pricey, but i have always wanted top tier ANC/sound, speaking of which my neighbor is yelling right now and it comes right through my wall. ffs. can't wait for these to come in the mail lmao

I paid 449 and almost no tax because my credit card gives me 5% cash back.

Enjoy the headphones, I used to have Sony in ear noise cancelling bad design and the position of the button and battery on the cord causing the earphones to drop off due to the weight if you are walking MDR-EX750

You're a few days late to the show...

Also, it sounds like you want something like this

Alright, you both win. @Frick Going to give these a try. These premium gel cushions are going to feel amazing I bet...

Hope this thing ends up working out alright, I guess if not I will just refund. $88 shipped and sold by Amazon. 60 hour battery life (eat your heart out ANC)

I don't know what the hell this is though. Is it letting sound in?!

It's a mic for voice calls...

I see... in the video (in the amazon link at the end of the pictures) it shows the construction worker talking to another construction work like arms length away. kind of confusing.

USB-C and Sony V2 Processor (Mediatek MT2833), interesting, and also QN3 HD processor, seems to be digital headphones.
Would be nice to see 32 bit float as the processing specification, or even optical PAM-X input.

There isn't even support for audio via USB-C, only charging... Sony messed up a bit there...

as expensive as these are, it would have been nice to see an easily replaceable battery option, because these will be worthless in like 3 years for a heavy user charging them every night, im not saying the battery will be empty every night, thats impossible since its a long battery life, im just saying most people charge there stuff every night before bed, and if your using it as a daily driver, that battery is going to be junk probably in a few years. i dunno i hate when companies do this on expensive stuff, its main reason i only buy budget phones

Nah, you wouldn't be charging them every night, the battery life is better than stated by Sony, according to the reviews, so at most, every other day. No headphones have easily replaceable batteries though, but that might change with new EU regulation.

I am still using the XM2. Bought them a few weeks after their launch. Still works flawlessly. Sure, the new models are probably improved, but why replace something that works?

I have those too. The annoying thing with them is that they don't remember the last device they where connected to, which is really annoying when using them with my TV.

Really? I turn mine on and they automatically connect to the ipad i use them with most days.
