Just wanted to know what kind of subwoofers you guys are using for your desktop pcs for gaming?

i live in an apartment cant have doof doof because downstairs and upstairs would rage at me.
I will get back into speakers once i have a standalone place.
Probably not the desktop but for tv..

Headphones for the main gaming PCs. I have a Klipsch 5.1 setup with an 8" sub on the HTPC which I use for casual gaming.

None. After many years of playing around with various setups I figured that nothing functionally beats a pair of decent stereo speakers.
For full immersion and surround - headphones.
I'm not a "big bass" person, so for me a sub usually makes things worse. Same on TV - sound mastering is already as bad as it gets, with explosions and SFX overshadowing dialogue, so adding a sub makes any movie/show unwatchable for me.

None, neighbors in apartment block and I don't want to have noise complaints, I'm also not a bass head.

I've got a half dead Logitech Z5500, running in 2.1.

I don't have one for a long time. Been using studio speaker for a long time. Last sub I'm using is Klispch Promedia GMX 2.1 during my study days I think.

In my defence I'm not an audiophile after having a 140db car stereo for a number of years.

Logitech Z623 400 Watt Home Speaker System, 2.1 through Schiit Modi 3 DAC (which does help it a lot surprisingly)

I use it almost every day since when I bought it in Nov 2018 (just checked my order history), unless its late at night then I switch over to headphones, currently using my old beryllium bluetooth headphones closed back

I use a Yamaha A-S501 AMP with some Wharfedale diamond 9.1 speakers and a Wharfedale SW150 sub

a pair of svs sb-2000 pro subs along with a 7.2.4 dolby atmos speaker system. 7 surround, 4 in ceiling and 2 subs powered partially by a denon x4600 and a seperate emotiva 2 channel amp using the denons pre outs. atmos and dts x work with almost every game, its exquisite, lol

For gaming? No, headphones.

For music/movies I use Razer Nommo Pro which has large downward firing CNC alu sub I keep under my desk.

There's no getting past this.

Wharfdale Diamond SW-150. It was a fairly entry level sub back on the day

::EDIT::

Found the spec:

Also nowadays it is really hard to find a decent 2+1 system for pc. Golden era was back in 2010s when altec Lansing, creative and edifier were producing pc sound systems. Now, I could only buy Bluetooth speakers for my pc.

Whatever is coming with my Edifier S350DB. Reviews do them justice, these are fantastic value.

I'm also in the none club, always been a headphones kind of guy since I've never liked the idea of annoying everyone else in the family with my gaming noise. 'our house doesn't have the best soundproofing either..'

Polk Audio MagniFi mini : Ultra-Compact Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer. I don't use the sub in the current household.

This 8" sealed kit that I got on sale for about 250$ a while back. Not a huge basshead but it integrates quite well and hits when it needs to. The price increased by about 50% in the past few years so I wouldn't really recommend it any more.

I have an old Yamaha SW140 (I think it is) connected to a Sony AVR @ 5.1.

I don't.

I run some Presonus Eris E8's which are full-range, ported studio monitors that hit 35Hz before -10% rolloff.

Sure, a sub would go a few Hz lower, but I also have neighbours so 35Hz is plenty.

Logitech Z5450 with a pair of KEF concentric speakers

None, my neighbours hate me enough already.

I have a very old 4.1 analog Cambridge Soudworks set (I think it's from 1996?), but I prefer using headphones.
