How did you work that out???

AH, I get it! That $7.2k is prices from other sites

There's the $200 code as well. Seems to still work.

BTW, I paid the extra for the 9800, X870 board and AIO cooler (may not be the greatest but I don't want to immediately take it apart to get another cooler in). Including shipping I'm just over $6k but I figure my 11th gen i7 could use an upgrade anyway

Considering how most 5090s in stock go for 6499..... to get an entire system with the third fastest gaming CPU on the planet with a 5090 for 5.3k AUD is bonkers thats a straight up win... but how are they getting MSRP cards thats whack!

Yeah, that's what I would like to know. I wouldn't normally buy a pre-built but you can sell the rest parts. Its the warranty that could be an issue, shipping the whole pc back etc especially the troubles you can have with 5090's.

Living the good life... that thing is amazing. I'll have to be content with my GameRock, lol. I got it at MSRP and that was my uppermost absolute limit to how I could spend :fear:

Can you run a game benchmark at 320 watts just to compare with my 4090? I wanna see if there is actually any meaningful gains to he had at that power draw. Got a ventus as a gift but sent it back

Have you heard of any recent 168 ROP incidents? I guess most that can happen is the power connector overload if it's plugged in wrong? Thankfully it's been smooth sailing with mine thus far.

Sure, I can try. Which one?

No idea, anything you have available, SOTR /CYBERPUNK, something with an in game bench so i can compare.

Now that i think about it, black myth bench from steam, it's only a few gigabytes so it shouldn't be too much trouble to download!

I undervolt my 5090 to around 2500mhz, roughly stock performance, power consump hover around 350-420W depending on games

With super resolution i believe at 50 i was getting 70 fps at around 400 watts, but ill check again once im back home.

My results pretty much align with Daniel Owens, but with 120-150W less

In DOOM The Dark Age

I've run one run of Cinematic/Very High RT/DLSS Quality for you here, but it can't be done at 320 W. The minimum power limit is 66%, which translates to 400 W. So, here you go, 400 W result

My OS is pretty messed up right now though, and it's on W10, so should be a little better on a proper install of W11

Theyve locked the power limit to 66%? Why in the world would they do that.

Yeah, the range is 66 to 100%, which is 600 W. So there is no overhead beyond that. I found it interesting it still runs at ~2480 MHz at 400 W, though.

Let us know how well it does over the 4090.

I'm still waiting for prices to drop a little further before I pull the pin. I'm wondering if it's worth waiting for the 5080 Super now to see what that does to the market?

Congrats!

Thanks.
Took me hours to dial in the undervolt for 5090, seems like Blackwell has a mind of its own regarding clocks, instead of one fixed Freq/Volt the freq just goes where it wants.

Right now I settle for around 2550mhz/875mV, so around stock perf for a normal 5090, with power consumption around 350-420W, around 50W more than my 4090 OC+UV.

Also tried some MFG in DOOM and latency seems fine at 240FPS (60FPS base), would be sweet if I can get some OLED 42in 4K 240hz

Prices are in a downward trajectory. Local Microcenter has dozens in stock. Ebay pricing also falling at a rate of $100 per month fyi. Cheapest flavor is $2900 in the states.

48 fps on my 4090 @ 400watts. So there is still a 22% difference.

That still equates to about $6k in Australia unfortunately. Cheapest local stock (post release day) I have seen was $4999 (AUD). Prices are going down but very slowly and that ozbargain deal was effectively MSRP pricing

Is 59 degrees Celsius a healthy reading for the 12VHPWR connector/ cable after 2 hours of playing Oblivion remastered?

The cables are rated at 80 degrees Celsius, if I'm not mistaken.
