Failing USB's

I've been having all my USB ports saying the device malfunctioned and tried several fixes but i don't know what to do anymore.
They don't fail all the time, sometimes I'll turn on the PC and they are fine, all of them, and then they only fail after they are idle for a while.
But sometimes i turn on the PC and they fail right at start.
The ones connected to mouse and keyboard seem to hold on even when the others fail, but I sometimes lose all keyboard and mouse.

This is my setup:
MB: Asus Rog Strix B650-A Gaming WiFi
CPU: 7800X3D
RAM: 32GB 6000MHz CL30 RAM (2x16)
PSU: NZXT C850
GPU: Sapphire 9070 XT Nitro+
SSD: WD SN850X 2TB
OS: Windows 11 Pro
BIOS v: 3222 (most recent)

I have the uninstalled and installed AMD Chipset drivers, even used their auto detection tool.
I have the window Power Options on balanced (was High Performance before)
I have disabled the windows from suspending USBs to save power under Device Management
I have disabled USB suspension on Power Options under USB.

I have spent like 1h playing with NO PROBLEMS, but if i leave the PC alone for 10 minutes the USBs seem to start failing...
But sometimes they'll come failing right at windows start.
It doesn't seem to be hardware failure.
(My PC is brand new by the way)
Both USB fail, in front panel and motherboard I/O...
I have no more ideas what might be...
I have enabled EXPO but later disabled it while troubleshooting.
I have absolutely no idea what else to do...please help
I have not tried to reflash BIOS after the initial update to the latest version (with these failing USB's I'm afraid to brick it and then lose warranty) and I have not tried to reinstall Windows 11 again (that will be my very last attempt)

Given these symptoms does any tech savvy more XP'd than myself have any suggestion?

What do you have plugged into USB? You said keyboard and mouse. Anything else?
My first guess is that one of your USB devices is shorting out, drawing too much load, or a motherboard IO RF shield is close and shorting out a USB port intermittently, and the motherboarding is just shutting them all off due to overload.
Who knows though. More details please.

If my explanation wasn't clear, I have seen this assembly mistake cause similar problems:

What was the last thing you changed to the PC prior to the USB issues?

Out of curiosity, What all do you typically have plugged in via usb? definitely take a look at software environment, especially software & drivers that has to do with usb devices.

What he said.

The PC is brand new.
The I/O shield is not shorting the ports.
I haven't changed anything on the PC as I just finished installing Windows.
Drivers are up-to-date.
I mean, i could try and reconnect USB cables in the motherboard, but I don't think that's the issue.
The entire PC works with no issues except for the USBs.
The only thing I have plugged to the USBs is a keyboard and mouse and the wifi dongle of my phones.
Keyboard mouse and phones are not new, I had them prior to the PC.
There's no dust build up.
The PC is connected to a high quality power surge protected ground extension connected to a grounded wall outlet. So it's not static. Nothing else is connected to the extension and yes, I'm sure the outlet is properly grounded. Checked it with a multimeter.
I have no more ideas what it might be.

Disconnect front case usb from the motherboard and see if the rear usb on the motherboard work properly then.

Thank you.
I thought about that too.
Will be my next troubleshoot step after this one I'm doing rn.
I'm trying to run Linux through a Pen to see if I can replicate the problem.
If I do then I'll proceed to what you said and retest on windows.
If i don't, then it's a Windows problem and I'll reinstall it clean.
I hope it's a Windows problem...please be a Windows problem
Because if it's not, I won't know how to troubleshoot the motherboard or the NZXT case connector...either way a software problem is always easier than a hardware problem
Thanks for the suggestion

Damn with Ubuntu.
I did this first...tested and retested and until now, no problems...

THANK YOU
I know it was probably my fault, i didn't connect it all the way...i mean, i did a bunch of pressure and it didn't go all the way, didn't want to break anything so i thought it was normal.
Apparently not...well, i only have 1 usb c in the case...the hell with it...i will live it disconnected
