What's your latest tech purchase?

MSI ATX case found at a thrift shop today. After a thorough disinfection it only lacks a single standoff and probably the PSU mounting plate.
Also grabbed 2x 120mm Corsair fans that light up in some fashion. Never used RGB so I have no idea what the plug looks like.

Also picked up a "Journey to the West: Legends of the Monkey King" double VCD.

We don't really have thrift shops here, only pawn shops. Second hand is usually posted in websites. I think I only picked hardware once from a pawn shop and I feel uncomfortable to say the least. It's 100% stolen in my head, I can never feel safe getting stuff from there. But thrift shop is different than pawn shop, I've seen those in Western EU.

Thrifts shops here rely on freely donated items. It is uncommon to find tech related items of any ongoing interest. Different type of buyer beware. See below.

Pawn shops are questionable no matter where in the world you are.

I finally get what a hard to build in case is. No two rows of fan holes line up on front of the case. At least none that are standard bolt screw size.

I've a good sized contribution to the GM thread accumulating. Piece of piss as they say in jolly old England.

I never see anything like pc stuff in charity(thrift) shops in my area.

Have four Antec T30 120mm fans in my case, but since there is room for two T3 140mm fans I got some of those also.

Really like the 30mm thickness.

Does software count? I bought USB Audio Player Pro, thankfully it can play direct 44.1kHz. Tried Poweramp but they just resample it to match the native Android 48kHz output which I don't want. Resampling in recent Android isn't as bad as Windows kmixer but I rather it just do direct audio out instead of doing any sort of processing.

A Chinese copy of Chinese Yuin PK1 just arrived, how does that work? well the driver is Yuin PK1 but the housing isn't, doesn't really matter because it looks the same anyway. I don't have anything that can remotely power this properly but I really like its sound signature. I heard this many moons ago during Head-Fi gathering and heard it properly amped, it really sound like listening through speaker that was my impression. Gonna be a long time to burn this one, it sounds hollow because mainly not enough amping just uurgh, but still I can hear amazing details through it.

Decided to pick up an OLED Steam Deck Since I travel on weekends a lot - Also bought the 2TB version of the Corsair MP600 mini to swap into it just because I found one locally.

I'm really liking the idea of switching to a TKL keyboard with how neat that looks
check my post on the aula TKL.

honestly i had hated mech keyboards because of their tacky feel and preferred smoothness and softness of membrane. But this aula f87 pro has spoiled me. Its got really soft switches, good backlight, decent 1 week battery while using RGB, and wired options as well.

i cannot use anything else now.

The noise distracts me when I have my headphones off - that's why I'm really interested in a smaller keyboard with a good sound-deadening setup, that aula looks well done. I'm even considering the BeQuiet! DarkMount in the pursuit of silence

Bought chinese b450 mini itx motherboard for fun :D (I've got a lot of stuff lying around that can be attached to it, and I've always wanted cheap itx :D )
It should come by in next two weeks :).

Chinese design and standards of quality have legitimately improved recently. That actually looks quite decent!

I will add pictures when it comes :D.

Doing a complete itx build? Open bench? HTPC?
I wanna do a small pc to get with me to friends and play some games that are for split screen :).
I've got am4 bigger stock cooler, and noctua indrustrial 140 that will chill it out.
Lying around 2700 amd ryzen. and gtx 650 without fan shroud :), the smaller the better, some 512gb nvme drive.

Sweet!

I'd like to put together an itx build for retro emulation.
Current emulation system is a massive DELL Precision 390 Workstation which I love more than modern PC's, but it's much too big for what it does
