What's your latest tech purchase?

Bought chinese b450 mini itx motherboard for fun :D (I've got a lot of stuff lying around that can be attached to it, and I've always wanted cheap itx :D )
It should come by in next two weeks :).

I wish the rest of manufacturers would learn how to build a white motherboard.

I made only one white build and never tried again... I get it's difficult to standardize a single shade but they just keep belting out off-white instead of trying to do it right

That is a problem one has to live with.
Yes, I just settle for less:

All-black with blue accent lighting (every-day builds)
All-black with silver fittings and clear coolant, maybe white accent lighting (if open-loop cooled)
Black and gold with no lighting - ASUS ProArt style (workstation setups)

Not many sleek options right now and BTF motherboards aren't mature enough yet. Until then, I'm avoiding color-matched white builds

My clients on the other hand... I don't understand how they sit next to a tower with a rave going on inside it reflecting light everywhere :wtf:

building a new computer for my wife. gpu just came in.

She is a very good wife.

Finally got around to jumping on the AIO bandwagon... Enter: Frozen Warframe 360 Ultra
In terms of temperatures not a big decrease from the Peerless Assassin (- 3-4°C) but the system is way quieter. Ofc, I'm trying to cool the 5800X3D which has terrible thermals to begin with.
I know, it's not "sleek", but I favor performance over looks.
Not a bad upgrade for 80€! :rockout:
Edit: I'm still deciding whether to put the front panel back on or just roll with it like this

Eizo FlexScan EV2450 24" 1080p, buyback from a business. Needed something 24" as a second monitor, until I can afford a proper second monitor. Saw this and got it on a whim. For such an old dog, it looks pretty sleek, connected with DP to DP cable.

Just got this to replace the iffy £50 board I got.

T30 wasn't available in 140mm so I got these instead. They also have reverse blade fans too which I am considering to get to replace the old Antec fans I am using to force circulate air for my AIC's. Compared to other triple packs with RGB $40 is kind of a deal.

Interesting, SF Megacool 140mm are another option if you want T30 like power.

The Antec T3 140mm 3 pack is also $40 if you like the 30mm thickness and they daisy chain.

That's awesome!

Using PETG?

I've only had resin printers, this is exactly why I want a filament printer
Think it was yes, just makes it look tidier. It’s not cracked btw.

Nice! Yeah, that's kinda normal surface finish from what I've heard

I'd really like to make cable channels in a similar fashion

Not prepared to move into the whole BTF connector craze just yet with project stealth and all that.

Severely underrated how Antec entered the spotlight recently and they're cooking up a storm with their offerings on all fronts in many respects. Especially build quality and precise tolerances

I set my eyes on these.. LCP construction - 6.56mmH2O if they hit the perfect spot on the PQ Curve so the realistic performance on the curve should also be really good. More flow than T30 due to higher RPM and such, but at the cost of maybe 2dB noise increase... Still, Antec has some good offerings without all the premiums attached to RGB and proprietary ecosystems

Made the switch to 4k QD-OLED.
AOC Agon pro AG326UD, I believe it's using the same panel but less refresh rate than Samsung odyssey 32" QDOLED 4K.

they don't sell this monitor in america to my knowledge, that is awesome! looks great, enjoy! I love my AOC Agon OLED, takes some calibrating, but once done its great. I turned off my 4hr reminder, but I do windows lock when i go afk several times a day and it does the 'OLED cleanup' then automatically

how much was this in british pounds?

I just ignore the warning and I believe it was £675, it was between this or QD-OLED 27" 1440p from LG or Samsung 4K QD-oled but I saw some QC issues with LG which put me off a little as I only had 1 issue with my LG C1 which was the power board failing after 2 years. Also I didn't really wanted to go down a resolution as I was using a 34" 3440x1440 previously, Samsung I had issue with a Odyssey G5 a few years ago because of the JOG button failing.
Annoyingly the AOC uses something similar but I'm hoping its a bit more robust as the button itself is slightly different.

You can turn off the warning in monitor settings, it will still automatically do it when you are afk or turn off PC for the night, thats what i do, its fine and don't ahve to deal with any annoying pop ups

Yeah I just haven't bothered yet to turn it off, it doesn't really bother me in general. :)
It did take a few days for my eyes to get used to the monitor though as I was going from a curved monitor back to flat.
The centre of the monitor looked like it was bulging in front me.

my brother bought a new samsung s7 32" 4k monitor
