PI5 case dose this look right 2692? It looks all right to me, but it does not post on my monitor. Ethernet blinks so that is working. Hdmi and ethernet working on PI4 2694. I understand the PI,s have problems with wireless Keyboards with the PI not having enough power for it.If i had not that before i bought one i never would have.I put the pi Os on the NVME .I am using the official power cable for the PI5.I have this subject on its on post but no one has replied ,that is why i put it on this forum.

That is a nice RPi case. The 240GB SSD is a solid drive for an RPi. The RetroXP desktop theme is especially nostalgic! Me likey!

Ethernet blinks so that is working.fan spins for a few seconds then goes off, no picture on the monitor. The unit lights up green. When i first tried it i got the pi start up screen.it first said the NVME was off. When i tried it later it said it could not open the NVME drive .Next time i tried it no picture i had put the os on the drive with my Windows 11 pc.I just don,t get it, i told Lee the youtube PI man about it he said the pi has problems with the NMVE .I had another case the deskpi and could not get the NMVE to open so i sent it back ,i thought it was the pci cable it is so delicate like most guys i have big hands. :(But i showed the photo of it and the person said it was correctly connected
It would be if it worked :(,why am i having all the problems with it?It all looks like it is wired up properly don,t you think? That is the on thePI4the RetroXP i like that to.:)
There must be PI users it could help me here.I will have to try and get a usb keyboard .Not that it would solve the problem of it not showing on the screen. If i can,t i will have to send a second case back. Its a shame its not a bad case :(Have look at it close to see if it is connected the right way?Check the pci cable.

This. Buy/Sell/Trade posts & effort belong in the proper forum section. Before anyone says it, I'm not minimodding, I'm trying to help hop over to the right thread before the mods have to do it. They're fairly strict on the point.

I see that there is a problem with all NVME,s on a PI:rockout:

Pi5 NVME (boot) drive goes offline randomly

Wed Jan 08, 2025 2:26 pm

Setup:

Hardware:
Pi 5 8gb
Waveshare PCIe to Dual channel M.2 HAT+ Adapter
KIOXIA EXCERIA PLUS G3 SSD 1TB
Raspberry Pi Active Cooler (official)
iRasptek Raspberry Pi 5 Power Supply

I don know why ,Rasoberry pi. does not get this sorted with the NVME .And make a higher rated power supply ,after all the PI has been around for years.
It is not good enough.:rockout:

Not everyone wants to dox themselves. There are some of us that, for professional reasons, are not allowed to state their location.
Well most of the people on here don,t have that problem.I thought you had yours on here as i know you are in the USA..My internet went down after i posted the last message on here. Its years since that has happened to me.We are all lost with out the internet.

One mans trash is another mans treasure.

A fantastic score of not one, but two HD5870's and two 7970's. Chap must have had some Crossfire fun in the day! Couldn't be better fortune as I already have the 5970 and the 7990. This will make for an awesome test comparing the two with drivers at the height of maturity and a CPU more potent than what was available at the time.

I have sent it back and bought this one. i just hope i have ,more luck with this one

ElectroCookie Mini PC Case for Raspberry Pi 5 with M.2 NVMe SSD PCIe HAT and Active RGB Lighting Cooler (Black Case + M.2 HAT[X1001]).

Late upload and a bit of a long story.

Sound blaster cards are extremely hard to find in my country. I had one back in the day. An X-Fi Fatal1ty Pro which my brother gave me but that time I was already using Windows 7 and I eventually got rid of it. So first attempt looking for an SB card I bought one from ebay (shipped from China), a supposed Audigy 2 which turns out to be a badly flashed audigy 1 basically useless as any driver I've tried be it official or modded refuses to recognize the sound card. After days of searching my local fb marketplace I found this gem being sold for around 10 bucks. I was overjoyed that I gave the seller extra to cover his travel expense (basically gas and food) on his way to the courier to have it shipped in my place. This went to my Retro XP build which I pieced together last year. Of all my years using Windows XP around mid 2000s, I completely missed the EAX experience. That is what I was planning to achieve when I decide to build a gaming retro windows xp pc. I've tried it for the first time (Doom 3) and the difference from what I recall when I first played Doom 3 around 20 years ago to what I experienced with EAX is night and day. It literally blew my mind. How on earth did I miss EAX during my XP days.

Get a magnifying glass and look for indicators on the circuit boards at each connector showing you pin #1. Might be a 1 or a little triangle. Sometimes the connector is keyed so it can't be plugged in backward.

ThanksI but i have got it sorted now, this is third time lucky meaning this is my third pi5 MNVE case and the only one i got working,:clap:This is a cool case the only thing i don,t like is the micro HDMI :( I have the converter for a full HDMI but need to hold it up in case it breaks.I have got a micro to full size cable but it is to much trouble changing the cable on my monitor.
