Reducing costs = higher profit margins
Don't need a degree to do manual labor that will be left after AI takes over all the intellectual endeavors. And don't say that plumbers will need teaching - any monkey will be able to follow AI's directions step by step via AR.
AI tech bros are killing the planet by using a ton of wattage to generate useless AI garbage. This will not change.

Humans as a whole can't do anything about any of it and the billionaires controlling AI don't want to change anything for the better, unless the better in question is them becoming trillionaires.

Growth is not linear, it probably is closer to an S-curve. The argument is where are we in that S-curve today and what part of the curve was the last 2 years of progress on?

A good story and cohesion isnt achieved by just scaling things up. Can AI write an interesting book yet that isnt full of inaccuracies, has a few hundred pages and a developing story?
 
Speaking long term once AI is much more developed in the future.

Remember how people said Iron Man would be nothing without his suit. Well it wasnt true because he was a genius and proved everyone wrong because of his heroism.

For every other average joe like me... well.. we will be nothing without the "suit".
 
Change-gpt was down for around 12 hours. If billionaires rely on something like this to serve them, they may perish because of their stupidity.
