Looking for a chair that will win you over with adjustability, quality of materials and support rather than an overly aggressive design? The ThunderX3 FLEX Pro might be just what you are after, with a minimal, professional and functional aesthetic, featuring a generous warranty to top it off.

Quite similar to my office chair, but with better armrests, but worse caster base and tilt mechanism (the metal part, not the functionality, mine is made in die cast aluminium, not mild steel).
It's quite easy to chance the gas lift and you can get them reasonably cheap online. Do keep in mind though that the mesh might not be able to cope with a higher weight.
I got a new gas lift that was taller than the default one, as they're available in different "heights" as well, which is useful if you're taller than the height the chair was designed for.
Personally I really like the split. flexible lumbar support, but my other half doesn't like it all (she got one as well), so I guess it's a matter of taste.

You can only buy that one in Taiwan and almost no-one sells it any more. I was never able to find the actual company behind it, but it's sold under several brand names.

It's not the only one chair that have this kind of design.
About the metal parts, as I've checked on the ThunderX3 website, they used here aluminium, not the mild steel. Generally there's much more adjustability, not only in the armrests, but also seems to be in the lumbar support.
There are a lot of differences here, but - of course - I'm not saying that your chair cannot be comfy:)

P.S. Thanks for your activity here :D

I guess it's half half, as the part that mounts towards the chair is mild steel, but I didn't see that the bottom half appears to be aluminium.
Mine is quite different, as all that was assembled and I only had to attach the back to the base and then the arm rests, that a again are partially aluminium vs. steel and plastic.
It seems like a lot of these types of chairs use a lot of plastic for things like the back support, which I'm not super keen on.
On the plus side, these types of chairs are much better for you if you sit for long hours and having moved from the famous IKEA Markus to this, was such a huge improvement.
The funny thing with the chair I have, is that the manufacturer seems impossible to find and the chair is sold under several brands, yet it's better than many branded chairs out there.

Could be.
Yeah, there is a lot of plastic, mostly as a frame for mesh.
That's right, actually if you had something like IKEA Markus, and moved to even some good gaming chair, it was such a huge improvement. I had a chair in style of Markus and - oh god - moving to first gaming chair was something different :D

you can still mount somthing to raise your seat :)
You are right, I've got still around 7 cm of clearance between my legs and table :), but in car Your position is a little different than when using a desk, and I wanna to get something for desk, not car :).
