I wish I could had vote "as my main OS". I was a Linux gamer for many years and it was best gaming time ever!! Until I bought a new display that do not work well at all under Linux so I had to go back on Windows :(

I miss gaming on Linux. I miss my good old Arch Linux with CachyOS repos. I miss LAVD scheduler!! LAVD is sooooo goooodd!!

Had to boot off a USB stick and chroot into my system to fix it.
This is pure magic! When I tinker on my Linux install, I almost whish I mess up real bad so I could chroot and save the day!

chroot or just mount the partition?

You may check if you can add additional encryption keys. Luks should have at least 8 key slots. (maybe they increased the key slots)

The real question is do we have any Budgie enjoyers in here :)

Overall I enjoy tinkering with it but not having MusicBee or proper anti cheat support kills it for me as a desktop OS.

I had to look that up! Gonna give it a try. Looks interesting for a minimalist OS.

Neither of those would be a problem personally.

Download is very slow... 700Kbps. Kinda pathetic actually.

I need to look for a way to Repair refind cause Windows has annected my boot partitioning and pc is not recognizing my nvme m. 2 as bootable system.
Windows is on sata ssd
And cachy os is on nvme
And my bad I've plugged first Windows, run it and then I've plugged nvme, and poof.

Really? I thought you liked Mint? I might be thinking of someone else..

I’ll be honest I can’t stand mint your thinking of someone else. That’s also only when I run Ubuntu I’m a suse guy. Though all my servers are Ubuntu now.

This is why I always use Legacy MBR boot for Windows. None of microsoft's dumbass boot shenanigans.

Fair enough.

Ok, just finished installing. Updates were few. Installed to my Dell Vostro V131 with an i3-2310M, 16GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. Surprisingly smooth experience on such an old CPU/GPU combo. Not hardware issues, every feature and button on the laptop work perfectly, as one would expect. It's got got a different "feel" from Mint, but the UI is solid and easy to learn. So far, gotta give it a thumbs up.

Worthy of a go.

Edit: Installed all of my fav extensions in Firefox and all is still smooth and snappy.

Budgie is the DE I wish I could love, but when I try it, I hate it. Not as much as Gnome tho.

Since my new PC, i changed to Bazzite. The easiest to setup for Gaming. Also hardware support is good.
Before i was running Debian, but the support for the newest hardware sucks.

Been using Linux since the old SuSE days where you could buy the distribution with manuals. Around 1999 I started it using alongside Windows. Even played Unreal Tournament back then. These days I barely use Windows. Thanks to Valve and AMD most games run fine. Sometimes I start Windows on a VirtualBox.

As Main Distro I use Ubuntu. I am also trying others from time to time. Running a triple boot with Bazzite. And on my notebook Fedora.
