this could just be a power saving issue. press the ? beside and see if it ramps up.i need help changing pcie slot x16 but im only using x4 i tried slot changes from bios i saw lots of posts about this but still cant get to change it if i restart pc it changes from x1 to x4 somtimes x8 View attachment 403098
i did try it all gen 3-4-5 but still does not work bios versionWhat motherboard do you have? You can grab this information by clicking on search (bottom left), type in System Information (when it comes up click run as administrator).
There you should see most things like motherboard make/model and BIOS version/date.
Have you tried setting the BIOS to gen 4 or 5 instead of Auto?
nah still on 4.4.0 thats itthis could just be a power saving issue. press the ? beside and see if it ramps up.
nah nothing changesClick the question mark next to the link speed and run the stress test, does the lane count jump to x16?

Power saving never reduces the lane count, only pcie spec version.this could just be a power saving issue. press the ? beside and see if it ramps up.
Unless slot is incorrect this is the proper next step. This chap solved a similar issue by reseating the GPU
I am unsure how long this has been like this but I just noticed my 3090 is running @ 4x. I built this PC in January and did not notice this until now as I was adding in a USB PCIe card that was not being detected and trying to figure this out.
My PC consists of ASUS Z690 Plus D4 wifi motherboard
12700k
EVGA 3090 FTW3 Ultra installed in the X16 Gen5 slot(top slot)
1000w EVGA Plat PSU
2TB M2 NVME SSD in the M2_1 slot
After noticing this I did a Timespy bench and my GPU benched as it did when I built it, which makes me believe my 3090 has been running like this the whole time.
Its showing...
