SCHENKER KEY 18 Pro (E25)

I love this massive chunky laptop design. Not too practical for portability, but awesome to see nonetheless.

65°C on a power supply brick. No thanks. Bad efficiency.
Out of curiosity, but what are your expectations? I mean this is a passive 330W power supply, stuck in a plastic shroud?

Silverstone Nightjar-series even at 450W had the whole exterior act as a heatsink, so....I don't know 65C sounds normal to me given the conditions.

audio sample of fan noise would be nice tbh, dba alone doesn't tell the whole story

Do you really want to touch notebook parts with 65°C?

Notebooks got 15 years ago bad points when the surface hit around 45°C.

You’re basically carrying a desktop in your backpack, fans roaring like a jet on takeoff. XD

56dBA is intolerable for most people. That's why laptop hardware should stay below 120w TDP.
I hope the future of gaming laptops will be APUs even more massive than Strix Halo: adjustable TDP, tons of VRAM, unparalleled efficiency.

It's not really intended as a "laptop" as much as a system this size is intended to be a luggable desktop replacement. For these specs and that size of screen, this will be someone's primary PC. In that context, it's very portable compared to a desktop PC of similar specs.

Since this is our first laptop review, do let us know what you think we could improve
Seemed spot on. Covers all the right points of interest and even the editorial conclusion was objective and on point. I say kudos!

Nicely done for a first review! Welcome to TPU! :toast:

Ludicrous hardware (both for good and for bad), but...

I mean, if we have this as a luggable desktop replacement, why not bring back the briefcase PC?
