I hate to break it to you, but I have that exact wheel and it didn't work with Windows the last time I tried it (which was fairly recently). I know it sucks. Also, did you pay full price for it? I'd suggest a used Logitech G920/G29 or Thrustmaster T150/TMX, as they have force feedback and will offer an infinitely better experience for around the same price.

This happened, because I was about to order a better-looking wheel, but Amazon warned me about the return rate being unusually high! So now, I got sent down a rabbit hole.
Might as well have gotten a Nintendo controller, FFS, if the wheel firmware is literally going to ban Windows.

Even when much of the wheel should work, TBH, because of XInput! This is not the 360 days and Vista days we're talking about.

I wonder if Beam NG will see something. Hoping it will be picked up as XInput, just like Xbox controllers!

Will it be like the dark days of USB 1x?! Where you needed a third party driver for every single thing?!

From Thrustmaster support:

My Ferrari 458 Spider Racing Wheel does not work on my PC

KB 104 - EN - 2022-11-22

The Ferrari 458 Spider RW is an Xbox One compliant racing wheel.

It is not supported by Windows platforms, and there are no drivers for it to work on Windows.

Windows computers may detect the wheel and some of its buttons might work, but it will not be fully functional.

Yeah, won't work, as expected after all.

That's the thing, in the Xbox One days, we have XInput, unlike the Xbox 360 days. So unless we're still using Windows 7 or 8x, this is bull.
If that's all true, then I might as well get a Nintendo wheel, LOL!

Xinput existed with the Xbox 360.

Either XInput or what ever came out post-360 days, which the current take of it, seems to have been at least as recent as Windows 10. Were there multiple versions of XInput?
At least, that's what Beam NG tells me, with my dual-stick controller.

With me being sent down the rabbit hole due to the wheel I was going to order having a suspicious amount of product returns, looks like my brain needs to throw an unexpected-kernel-mode-trap error! LOL!

Heck, I can get Xbox brand controllers that should all work with 11! Saw some yesterday! Because after all, Microsoft is the one who does Xbox!

I think I'm going to try again in August by going ahead with another model of PXN wheel. I almost got a very-nice-looking PXN wheel, but then saw the warning about an unusual amount of product returns!
I impulsively went for the Thrustmaster wheel, because I didn't want one that was faulty!
Do you really want me to force-cancel the Amazon order?!

Not sure how viable finding someone selling off their sim rig locally is. See quite a few that hardly got used during that wfh period and the wife is ready to be gone with it all.

Out of money right now. Even if possible to get a refund!

Not attempting to spend money you don't have or wish to devote. Just making a suggestion for alternative.
