Likely a card with damaged packaging. missing accessories and some scuffs on it. Heard some of the 168 ROP defective batch also ended up being sold as B grade instead of returned to Nvidia

Yes it seems the description reflects that. Based on currency conversion the Microcenter PNY one is cheaper and is new plus with 5% membership discount comes out to be $2374.

People discussing whether it's worth it or not, all I can say that in my personal situation I was prepared to buy an RTX 5080 FE but instead went for the RTX 5090 FE when I saw it in-stock momentarily, had buyers remorse for few days cause I spent much more than I was originally planning (had to buy new PSU too) but once I actually had it in my machine I haven't regretted it one bit.
Can't have too much power when playing at higher resolutions :pimp:

We are now down to 4199 AUD. How low can we go :)

Mmm, well, with the news that Nvidia is going to withhold stock, might be reaching the all time low. I'd say 3999 is the lowest it's prob going. Then it'll start to climb back up

Agreed... loooove my 5090. So smooth, so crispy. :D

Got a link for me to read that information? If so, I might have to pull the trigger before stock goes astray, and prices start ascending.

Iirc the same situation happened with the 4090 when it was originally released but was that because of the unforeseen AI boom?

Admittedly the source is tripe from wccf, but seems related to prioritizing accelerators. Their info seems to be from CN forums, so who knows.

Did you read the comments below? LMAO! How much truth is in this article will remain to be seen.

Might need a tiny bit of salt for that story...

Yeah, haha. As with everything that's posted on wccf, that truck is a good start for the salt needed :D

So as much as it would be nice to have a higher average framerate than my monitor's refresh rate at 165hz, I'm waiting for the 6080 or 7080.
Better wait for UDNA nvidia is a cancer for PC gaming. There is no reason to shoot herself in a foot.

I can get the Inno3D X3 OC for under 4k AUD, but is anybody able tell me if this card uses a reference PCB? I haven't been able to find any info or teardowns about this card.

I've gone to Alpha Cool and found this: https://shop.alphacool.com/en/detail/index/sArticle/21854 if you scroll down the page, it lists the Inno3D GeForce RTX™ 5090 X3 OC (N50903-32D7X-17593928)

If it uses a reference PCB it will open up more options from water blocks manufactures.

Cheers.

It's strikingly similar to the GameRock's, but not identical:

These two are considered to be the most "basic" 5090 models (if there is such a thing), I guess waterblock support will very much depend.

Yes it does, suggest checking out https://www.ocgear.com.au/products/...gn-with-backplate?_pos=1&_sid=421bdd261&_ss=r Watercooling Shop from Sydney

Watercooling Shop from Sydney

Thanks for the link but doubt I'll be paying $590 for their Water Block. Cheaper for me to go direct through Alpha Cool.

In any case, its saying "Reference" on their page just like the Alpha cool page but it's not supporting the Nvidia 5090 reference card. Isn't the 5090 from Nvidia considered to be reference? Weird.

FE is not reference, no.

Ah sorry the dude who owns it confirmed it in discored by sending an email to Inno3D and shared it in the discord. There js the standard reference blocks for 399 aud. Still up there though!

Found an Inno3D X3 5090 Block for around 350 AUD but can get a Palit for under 300. If the Palit was under 4K it's a no brainer. Gees, where are the days when GPU blocks were under $100 lol.

I might give it another week or so. I still see plenty of stock with prices dropping. Blocks are also dropping.

There was a sale here recently for the GameRock that brought it quite a bit below MSRP... I can't complain about how much I paid on mine (since it was MSRP), far from the most expensive, but still :D

Great things come to those who wait... I just would be careful not to miss the bus entirely.

This is what I'm mainly worried about but thinking we should be ok over the next month or so.
