still with that cooler they payed more than I did. i'm stressing my video card With ati tools , running prime on my cpu and ati virus scan on my other hardrive and now it is fine strange. I was getting bio's errors before. might be this board. I was also getting blue screens.

no i don't but now it is working scared to overclock it now. maybe I will rma it and this board. My overcloking days may come to a end this has pissed me off.

I had an Antec psu a couple of years ago that did a similar thing, it worked great one day, then caused all kinds of problems the next. It went on like that for a week before it totally died.

I hope it was more a bios issue I'm at 3.0ghz now and it's prime stable so far.

run your memory at the lowest divider with the slowest timings and the highest voltage you feel comfortable. try switching memory slots, try one module, get another kit for testing from a friend

Hey Wiz the memory seems fine I tested it with three memory programs. I did have trouble with it and bios F9 but went back to F8 no errors. This crap with my usb ports losing power and my system locking up scared me.

It happens man. If it's the mobo, you can likely RMA(unless you Vmodded it or something), and only lose some time and a few dollars for shipping. If it's the psu, it's not like it's your fault. Just look at it as an opportunity to upgrade. Unless, of course, it's still under warranty. Then it, also, only costs you a little of your time, and a few dollars.

It's a bummer either way, but it's not that bad.

I actually had a similar problem. Usb dying, computer rebooting. Couldn't figure it out. One day i switched cases for a new build. The other cases had a different power supply. After that all was fine. Changed Power supply in my case just to be safe. Didn't want that crap happening on my new system.

Never used a voltage meter what should it draw. It appears to go from 12.300v to 11.980v on the 12 volt rails is this bad or what.

to me thats a big drop mine doesnt even drop below 12.20v

12.30v idle and 12.25v ORTHOS Small FFTs - stress CPU

12.20v with GPU load with atitool scan for artifacts and same with CPU

so you might want to get a cheap PSU just for back up anyways

thats with my gpu stressed to the ma,x a quad core stressed to the max, and a virus scan runinng on two hardrives. If I just ran it on my cpu and video card it won't go lower than 12.030v. I Also has have a quad you have a dual core. So you guys know Wiz was right it was a bad stick of ram found it after lengthy testing.

well I know you have a Q but I also have 8 X 120MM blue led fans, 4 X 120 reg fans, 1 X pump, 2 X HD, 1 X dvd/cd-burner, 1 X ocz ram cooler, Cpu @ 3.6GHz 1.55v, MEM 2.2v 1125Mhz

But I also had a Stick go bad on me to its been RMA'ed but I didnt have all that what happened to you

But are you running everything at stock volts and tim , settings ? At first my mem would get errors with both stick and not with one at a time but friday I it started again and boom right off the bat one stick was all errors in memtest and one wasnt

but I dont know about that drop on your PSU but I should find out next yr. jan or feb going to get a Q and im sure my card uses about the same power as yours from wiz reviews on Power Consumption

lol but your card cant go up to 1.6v on the core I tryed it again and with 1.6v and it droped to 12.14v

but did you run the mem one at a time at stock volts and tim ? what are you using to test them ?
