The ingenious idea of putting two RV670 chips on a single board and call it R680 or Radeon HD 3870 X2 seems to be moving alone nicely but not only for AMD. The card itself isn't even released yet and already one relatively unknown eastern manufacturer, Shuangmin, is already working on a model with a custom cooling solution. As you can see in the shots below it's still a dual-slot cooler with two fans resembling some of Zalman's products. The card boasts Hynix memory chips that sum up to 1GB of video memory, is as long as a GeForce 8800 GTX and, if everything goes well, it should be released early next month. Now let's just contemplate. Nvidia fans are advised to look away for safety reasons.
