Zeus Shows Off $750,000 PC

Only 2gigs of 667 ram?

8400?

all for a measly price of 750,000$?
What a waste of time and materials:shadedshu... this machine makes as much sense as buying a humvee when you live in a major city...:wtf:..Or rather buying a humvee period...It's no wonder we are going to die off and the insects will take our place;) But it is nice that they make such abortions...it gives us something to ridicule..LOL

Wow who would want to buy that... N00bs thats wh.

if some some reason i managed to get one i would sell it so fast and build one monster rig, and maybe buy some donuts im kinda craving some right now

also if i saw a gold sprinkled turd i would pick it up so fast (with a pooper scooper) and throw it on ebay, if you willing to pay for this why not a gold sprinkled turd

Are there any fans in that thing?
Yea...probably the stock cpu fan:twitch: I don't think this abomination was ever meant to be used...as I've stated before, it WILL end up sitting next to the figurines, the crystal eggs and the collectors plates.lol:laugh:

You just gave me an idea.

Go to Celebrities and ask them to poop in a bag so I can sell it on Ebay.
Half the earnings will go to a charity of their choice and the other half will be my pure profit.

The American dream!!:nutkick:

However, given that the PC has a price tag of ¥80,000 (just over $750,000)

Wait a sec, I know the dollar is weak and everything nowadays, but there's no way 80,000 yens equals 750,000 bucks... if you check on google currently 1 U.S. dollar equals around 106.814783 Japanese yens, so the top model would be like $748.96.

EDIT: Followed the link, the actual price is 80,000,000 yens (yes, as in millions ) Geez, you could get a nice house here in CA for that price :twitch::wtf:

Yeah, I don't get this either...

This could well be the most overpriced expensive commercial computer ever to be launched: the Zeus Jupiter. The computer’s case is made of solid platinum embedded with diamonds which have been arranged to mimic astrological constellations. However, given that the PC has a price tag of ¥80,000 (just over $750,000) you’ll be disappointed to hear that it’s powered by a 3GHz Intel E6850 CPU, 2GB 667MHz DDR2 RAM, a 1TB hard drive, a dual Blu-ray/HD DVD drive and a 256MB GeForce 8400GS. Yes, that’s one of NVIDIA’s entry level graphics cards. Of course, if that’s just out of your price range you could always go for Jupiter’s little brother Mars, which has the same specs but with gold instead of platinum. That sells for a mere ¥60,000, which is just under $565,000.

This seems like something you would see some kid on super sweet 16 get.

"MOM, BUY ME A PLATINUM COMPUTER THAT'S EMBEDDED WITH DIAMONDS! I WANT THE DIAMONDS TO REPRESENT ASTROLOGICAL CONSTELLATIONS!!!"

"OK HONEY, I'LL CALL ZEUS!!"

I always thought of making crap like this to sell to rich celebrities. The key is to market it right - do that and they will buy a stinking toaster - just say it's limited to 500 pieces worldwide and sell them for a few grand each - they'll buy it, even if its a pile of crap.

I wonder if one girl one cup would work the same .

:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Time for some gold paint and rhinestones... $10 + any ol' case :D

Isn't it 2 girls 1 cup?

lol I messed up with that one lol.

Thankx for pointing it out. We dont want those naughty little people who are curious to watch this to google the wrong thing

oh oh oh

I'LL BUY 2 OMG OMG...

lawl:shadedshu:shadedshu

i think id rather just add some bling to my cosmos 1000, a gold chain and maybe some spinners

it amazes me that the case probably cost $749,500 and the hardware somewhere in the region of $500, if there charging that much for the case you would at least think that whoever buys it isnt to cheap to spend that little more on the top end parts :wtf:

I think trump should buy it! its right up his alley! comeing with the fact that it cost so much for nothing!

and eff.. you have something very strange with the fact your so into the 2girls 1 cup thing... my god man! lol

Some spoiled rich kids will surely buy this crap. But this works for almost everything. Just take some everday stuff, cover it with gold or leather or whatever, say its exclusive and limited, put the prize to an ridiculous high amount and BOOM! Profit. Thats whats luxury is: useless overly expensive stuff.

Imagine what a computer we could build with $ 0.7M maybe even a small high-density rendering farm. That looks like a large block of golden J-E-L-L-O

Chinese Junk!

Japanese. :shadedshu

Well, stop complaining guys, if you really hate it why do you even care about it?

Anyway I would prefer to have a PC for that price with ALL the components custom constructed, i.e. 32 Phase mobo, Quad SLi 8800 Ultras (somehow), with custom PCBs that have 2x the normal phases, phase change cooling for each part of it, a set of SDD cards mounted, case suspension system so drops wont damage it, including some server-grade CPUs that consumers will never use, and finally the whole chassis, even the PSU, (except for grounding points), even the rear IO plate, all constructed with CF. And finally the connectors are full CF so they cant really break that easily.
[/would still be cheaper than that piece 750k junk]
