MSI 8800GT....Bios Voltmod to 1.10 with a Thermalright HR-03 (Non GT) sitting on It since day 1.

Running @ 760/1900/1050 for benching...745/1850/1000 everyday use.

I'm amazed that you are even able to overclock such an unstable card. I work as a technician here in Denmark and we are only having problems with the Palit series. :wtf:

you modify the bios on the 8800GTl specs say you have a 4850, so its a no go for you.

your benifits are a more stable card at a higer overclock, and you will want some sore of aftermarke4t cooling depending on how far you overclock. Ive heard that the bios volt mod doesn't increase the temps at all, but i don't have such proff to confirm or denie that.

I plan on doing the bios mod. I have gotten my GT up to 775/2000/1025 clocks in 3d mark, but there not stable, need more volts i suppose since temps are not the problem. when i get things back on track i plan to do it, i'll update the thread on it as well.

When I get mine to like 760 there are issues after a while. The temps are at 57ish though, I'm guessing the voltage is the issue?

my card would start to have issues around 755, i found reguardless of how low the shader and memeory clocks were the core clock would max out around 755. I have aftermarket coling installed and thus far im working on a even better cooling solution to my card. The cooling i have now when running WOT keeps my card below 52ish, so im banking on the volts. I heard that Willie-E has the record for the highest GT clock somewhere above 800MHz.

my gt doesn't like temps about 62-64ish, above that it will crash/lock up.

Lol pure luck, I had a MsI 8800GTS OC before it and it would do 825mhz on the core, that got me to almost 17,300 on 3D Mark 2006,with a quad, I sold that for more than I paid for this one and it performs nearly as well as my 8800GT's in SLI!

Am Fleabaying it next month, gonna get me a GTX280 that I have found for £280 :rockout:
