ive been looking around for a good texture improvement mod for crysis, now i know Rygel has the best one, but its going to be a huge performance hit! im wondering if anybody knows of a good texture mod that aint gonna make my system freeze up

arent the textures good enough?, but some of the walls do look blury

assuming you have run jrobs config? Isnt exatle textures, but it is alot moar purty ta look at!

Have a look if the answer is no here.... http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=65846

i thought there may have been a 'lighter' version of rygels mod somewhere. yeh im running jrob's config and it does look much nicer than vanilla crysis @ high

Thing about the texture pack(s) though, is that it doesn't make THAT much of a noticeable difference; not like Qarl's packs for Oblivion etc.

And if you have AF turned off or down low, half of it will be wasted anyways.

Most people would probably just turn on full AF or parallexing, before suffering the performance degredation this might bring.

Hmm, worth a shot though, if the packs weren't so bloody huge.

it dont matter actually, ive started playing the game and im pretty happy tbh! just that i think rygels mod actualyl looks like it makes a difference, but i noticed in the benchmarking that crysis uses over 500mb ram...and i read somewhere that rygels textures use abt 1.5gb ram..which is ridiculous!
