Me too, i bought it on steam sales when they were 75% off.
Looks like all this was planned! They put it on sale so many people will buy it and then again we will buy the humble bundle for other games we don't have. :(
My sister in the US ordered the Evga 760 SC with ACX Cooler for 270$ [with shipping] + 2 free games + 10$ rebate card.
She will also be ordering Creative Fatal1ty gaming headset for 30$ on amazon :)
Hope i am happy with it, since the 270X costs around 10$ more in India [290$] than the 760 SC in...
If it was my money i would have bought the card, but it's my dads and i want to spend it wisely.
EDIT: Sorry i thought posts one after another automatically merge ,my bad
So since the 280X was a high end card 1.5 years ago aswell , you mean even it won't last for 2 years? Basically any card i buy today are all rebranded cards so i will never be able to get it to last 2 years @high ?
Will the 270X last me a good 2 years of time on High settings @ 1080p. I don't want ULTRA or VERY HIGH Settings, i just want them to be HIGH. Most of the benchamarks show FPS with MAX/ultra quality so they are of no use to me and hence i am confused :(
From here it seems like the 280X is around 30% better than the 270X So is 280X worth the extra 130$?
If i buy the 270X i might upgrade again in around 15-20months , but with the 280X i won't be upgrading because after 2.5 years i'll be in my final year of undergrad college hence won't be playing
I have played games on lowest possible setting on 720p for 6years of my life [I'm 17 now and i started gaming when i was 11 lol :P]
So yeah this is my first own pc and my first own graphics card , so i don't think i will get the regret as 280X is priced 150% of the 270X. I could upgrade to a...
So it gives a 25% increase in performance but costs exactly 50% more. Not worth it right ?
Also haven't been able to see reviews of Sapphire Dual-X versions of the cards as i'm probably going to go for them [they are the cheapest and smallest in size :P]
It's more like a 7870XT rebrand because in performance it's almost equal to a 7950 but has 2gb vram and is also based on Tahiti.
But the main point is , is the 280X worth the extra 130$ over the 270X ? Need a few more suggestions/opinions. [Thanks @BarbaricSoul for your input :)]
Hello TPU member :)
There's a 130$ difference between the 270X [260$] and the 280X [390$] - I am from INDIA.
Is it better to buy 270X now and upgrade in about 15-20 months , because atm both the 270X and 280X are able to max out all games at 1080p and also I don't mind lowering down a few...
