So I was going over an article showing how a pair of single rank memory chips can outdo duel rank chips at the same frequency in performance with tuned subtimings. DR usually wins against SR, however tuned subtimings in this article show they can outdo DR...
Do you have multiple nvme slots? Some are only 2 lanes or 4, with 4 being faster. Also, nvme performance is also bottlenecked by cpu performance and integrated cooling of the nvme drive.
Its basically a fattop. Cooling is excellent, and as I said in the post, if I run 100% cpu and gpu utilization for an extended period, it then goes over 80, but thats only under special cad like conditions, and stock fan settings. Maximum fan settings did lower that number, but I do not recall...
I know most people here use throttle stop to undervolt, and overclock, but to my understanding, this is a locked CPU, so what are my options? Looking at passmark scores for this cpu, they range from 8000 to 10000, and userbenchmark ratings and scores are equally spread out. So how then do I get...
I believe it was 411 that gave me better performance that I can show for certain, however since there are any number of "point ohs" I was hoping someone had some some kind of comparison.
I am not able to find those images of my benches, which is odd.
They did at any rate in my case. That said...
I noticed less performance in benchmarking my game total war warhammer II in the games battle benchmark, and noticed dip and significantly lower fps by over 10%. While the new driver might be more stable, I havn't done any long term testing of the game because a number of the prior versions...
So I completely disassembled my laptop, the mech15, and it turns out, it has a 40 display interface on the mobo, which means if I get the right cord, it should be able to take a 144hz panel, which is solely 40 pinned.
My concern with doing that is that same 40 pin port also is being occupied...
Ive heard using XTU and throttle stop together can make things glitchy. Do you have Nvidia GPU selected in options? Can you show use what your settings look like? There might be something if you played around with the Intel power balance, but thats the only thing I can think off that might do that.
Its a sandisk ultrafit. Nothing happened to it, just did the memtest procedure with it. I havent used linux, just windows. thanks for referring me to Rufus.
I kind of regret using my best one, when I should have probably used an inexpensive one, but the upside at least is that I have a reliable drive to do memtest.
So any methods?
So far, the one that even shows its xmp and deep specs is the kingston. Gskill, corsair, crucial all say xmp, but no specs past that. This kit seems the best choice just on paper, but what do you think in regards to sub timings?

I had called them and asked, they said that 2400mhz is just the stock ram, but 2666mhz is supported. Doing a little research on the i7-7700hq, it appears no one is able to get past 2666mhz with it, so thats why its the choice speed, and Max frequency isnt the goal for the this reason.
I'm also...
