I plan to do so once I get some money. I might go cheap though and build me a 150 dollar rig with a athlon XP 3200+ and some other stuff that would still kick the tar out of my current rig. I might be wanting old school but I can probably OC it and the graphics card to make it comparable to a 64...

2 Gigs it totally unnessary for gaming. 1 Gig will be fine. Get two sticks of 512 and dual channel you will get better performance, and if I remember correctly PC 3500 has more pins then 3200 so, No.

Okay so everything I have in my rig is currently not OCed or messed around with and I ran PCMark 05 and got 2405, Is this decent for a P4@ 2.6 Ghz, 512 MBs PC2700,and a Radeon 9600?

Um.. Their both basically the same in performance if you compare the 6600 with the ATI card that came out in the same area to beat that card. ATI and Nvidia is like pepsi and coke..or intel and AMD.. they do have their strong and weak points but sometimes it depends on how your system is set...

hmm I might just get me a old scraper board thats seen better days and use it.. Iv read now that pulling aboard out of a dell case will be a pain int he butt to do.. Bleh.. decisions!

The tv is all read ycleaned out. Im using it as a table for the dell right now.. The full optiplex tower fitsupright inside this case, thats how big it is. And I was also thinking about heating issues.. with all this space couldnt it get very.. umm.. hot?.. or am I thinking the opisite? Lol

Firstly.. If you dont have the money to take the risk of over clocking something then simply dont over clock it.. Because if you blow it up ( There is ALWAYS a slight chance of it) Then you wont be able to fix it. But of course going with a computer compan ymaded system is a bad thing to even...

My first computer was a Dell Opti Plex GX 100 I got in 01, Then I got my my P4 rig and I was so blown away when I noticed the performance difference.. Yes im fairly new to computing but I know alot for my newness!

Umm Dont get SE cards their 64 BIT memory which means they are 30-40% less performing then their 128 bit brothers. IF anything get the full 9550, its a cheap budget light gamer card. It plays todays games "decently" I cant say much else for it though because by this time next year it will be...

Dells have speically made power supply units for their computers you cannot buy a standard one and run it in your system Unless of course if you do like to see sparks and doom. You will have to order a stronger one t hrough the, ( if they make stronger ones.) Thats why I build my own rigs. Lol...
