found out my bios was locked so i wanted to get a program that could oc fsb in windows. i have an intel e6600 2,4 ghz processor and need my clock generator. i cant open the bos...my parents wont let me...stupid...well so i wondered does all processors of same model have same clock gen? i mean...

ok...sad news...talked with dell today. they said that they had locked my bios from changing settings.. have e6600 2,4ghz well anyway. i downloaded clockgen but i dont now what pll i should use. Any 1 have any idea how i can find wich 1 it is?

but its a brand new computer... 2 -3 months!! arent there any programs i can use?

omg omg!!! pressed f2 whilse starting computer and entered setup... once there it says none of these settings are changeable!!! CAN IT REALLY BE RIGHT??? its a dell and on another forum a guy said u couldnt overclock this processor!!!! WTF??? wtf should i do?? it cant be inpossible !! isnt...

10 minutes later: it doesnt seem to go higher than 56C.. is this very bad?

well running torture test now, it has run for 15 minutes now and is on test 8 my temp is around 55 C on both cores and i havent even overclocked it yet. should i get another vent?

i looked through this thread and saw that many ppl that has 6600 sppedstep down to 7 from 9 multiplier... why does mine go down to 6 multiplier? and how hot can i let the cpu get ?...still need a program to show me what kinda vents i got

ok well i heard many ppl saying dell are hard to oc... is it because they got bad vent or what? how much do u ppl think i should increase my bus speed to? if i take from 266 to 300 will there be any problems? overheat, or causing it to run unstable or any bad things?
