    No change with the other BIOS, sadly. Unrelated to BIOS, i noticed something possibly strange on the GPU chip. A capacitor (?) read 3k Ohms as compared to everything else in the vicinity which was like 17 Ohms. Is this supposed to be normal? My running guess right now is that the BIOS chip...

    Here's the vbios. Bios chip doesnt appear damaged, and yeah didn't find any shorts either.

    hmm...the paste got there during wiping, yes. Didnt think much about it then. Thanks, that might be it. Is there a way to verify the static damage with a multimeter perhaps?

    Yes, it is a gaming x. No chips and capacitors look fine. Also don't recall any strange static occurrences.

    GPU was perfectly fine (MSI RX480 8GB), decided to replace thermal paste, now it does not output video. When using integrated GPU, I noticed the gpu was still detected on GPU-z, but the readings were strange (see image). Pixel FIllrate, Texture Fillrate, Bus Width, Bandwidth are all 'unknown'...
