    Atiflash help

Problem solved. I forgot about the VBE7 for editing, and atiflash was just to flash the thing.

    Atiflash help

A long time ago I downloaded Atiflash 407 as I wanted to flash the BIOS with new core and fan profiles. I didn't do it and only now I remembered, and wanted to resume that work (from a looooong time ago) Well, seems the v.4 does no longer works, even with atiflash417. Seems to be OS problem...

MSI Z87-G45, won't boot after bios update

Please see this thread I made on MSI https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=253413.0 I am hoping someone here could come up with better ideas, than what is offered there. I have made a bootable USB with a previous BIOS version 1.6 from MSI website. Question is, is there a way to force a...

    Help Overclock I5 4670k to 4.3ghz

OP, some chips just can't make it. It's very easy to OC in bios, and if the parameter do not work then the chip can't make it. Mine runs at 4.2Ghz at 1.1v and 4.1Ghz Ring at 1.075v. I have set the voltage dynamically, so I think it sucks 1.15v and 1.1v respectively in windows (unless...

Problems with U14S and MSI G45 mobo (w/ 4 DIMMs)

If I mount the fan higher the side panel won't close. I barely have 1-2mm left as is, so if I want to close the panel I cannot move it any higher. I don't know if I really want to change the direction, I dont have case fans on top. Not sure what you mean by exhaust, since I'm using the fan as a...

Problems with U14S and MSI G45 mobo (w/ 4 DIMMs)

That's one thing I thought, seeing how 2mm would make all the difference. I don't want to go around and start removing ram heatsinks. What's the best tool to trim the plastic? Would be cool if I can make it look smooth

Problems with U14S and MSI G45 mobo (w/ 4 DIMMs)

So after installing the U14S, the fan is touching the 1st RAM heatsink. If I try to squeeze the ram, it is visibly pushed (the space between the 1st and 2nd is smaller than the space between 2-3-4th ram) http://imgur.com/DCSzWTb http://imgur.com/Vl11yYH I was lead to believe that since D14...

    Noctua NH-U14S vs NH-D14

Which of the two should I go for? I was going to buy the NH-D14 since it has hundreds of positive reviews but then I heard that the U14S performs almost the same, and it's a lot smaller. Also the NH-D14 might be suffering from fluttering and buffeting because of the 2 size fans? They both cost...

New HX850 PSU click when starting/shutting down

A corsair employee said this on the forum regarding this: I phoned tech support just to get a more streamlined answer and they said it is indeed a relay that switches on and off for startup/shutdown. The click is not really normal tho and is there because it's not well lubricated but it's not...

    Cpu dead?

If the fans just jolt a bit when you power it up it could be a short. I had those when I was playing around with metal pegs in an older case that were probably touching something on the back of the motherboard.

New HX850 PSU click when starting/shutting down

Yea, you could call that click similar to a "spring". So is that coming just from the relays? What about the sound discharge?

New HX850 PSU click when starting/shutting down

Was wondering if this is normal in any way. Computer works fine, starts up and shuts down fine. However, when I turn it on I can hear a distinct "click" at that right moment. When I shut it down, the same. When everything turns off (case LED fans, etc) I can hear the distinct "click". On...

    Is RAM Disk worth it?

Apparently windows and programs does not work well without pagefile. It also risks of crashing if you use a program that has a memory leak. Wish I didn't needed page file, since my 16GB of ram almost never go above 25%, but it seems pagefile is mandatory

    PSU woes

I will call them again on monday and ask them if they can have a solution for me. As I mentioned I received the replacement and this one is slightly more loud (but no rattle when the fan stops). I'm afraid if they are ok with sending me another replacement I would have the same problems again if...

    PSU woes

Someone who is an electronic told me I should just open the PSU (yes warranty will be voided), and cut the yellow wire from the FAN (apparently the fans have a black red and yellow wire). The yellow wire apparently is the controller wire that tells the PSU when the shutoff the FAN or restart it...
