@mxthunder nice collection you got there. I got a couple brushless Arrma trucks, a 2wd Vortex and a 4wd Granite, a brushless tt02 with drift options (gyro and a few gearing changes), and a couple of the little LaTrax rallies, one is brushless with ball diffs from an RC18T the other also drift...

This right here. It's not the age that worries me it's that it isn't a single rail powering it. EDIT: I mean roughly 205W for the 12v on a single rail would be sketchy. I'm accounting for the age and degradation of its caps.

Could potentially have been the culprit if it sent a problematic spike down the 12v. What's odd is nothing else got damaged in the process.

Sounds very contradictory if you ask me. How do you plan on getting said files onto this PC to begin with? A flash drive?
