I can run medium settings at 1280x1024 at a respectable frame rate. But I like to run it at 1152x864 with 2x AA at High settings with the water and shadows set to low and shaders set to Very High and I turn off motion blur. I turn the textures down to medium also. That way it still looks good...
I applied the 1.2 Crysis patch and I have been unable to reproduce the issue. Maybe that was it then, I am still going to update my drivers to the beta and see how that goes. Thanks everyone who replied!
According to nTune, my idle temp is 49C after playing and seeing the missing textures and leaving the game, the graph shows that it was maxed at 61C.
I see there is the 1.2 patch out now. I didn't even know. I am downloading that now and will try it tomorrow.
The only reason I am using 8x is...
Hello. I am having a small issue that maybe someone can help me with. I have been playing Crysis a lot lately (out of sheer boredom) and recently I have been having a few problems.
My Rig:
MSI 8800GT 512MB
ECS RS485M-M
AMD 5600+ X2
A-Data 2GB RAM (2x 1GB - 5-5-5-15-2T)
Seagate 7200.10...
Ya it cost $10 now. The bad part is none of my games are supported by Alchemy. Most of them have an option to turn it on but it always said it wasn't supported or its just grayed out. I was unable to get Alchemy to work with "The Witcher", "Crysis", "UT3" or "Guild Wars". Well that really sucks...
Interesting read, but I don't use Win2000. Is it fully supported in Vista or no? The Audigy said it was fully Vista compatible but as we all know, its not.
Ok. So is the X-Fi series fully compatible with Vista without having to use special programs like Alchemy? Because I need a new card and it MUST have at least a treble control. I tried an Audigy SE, to say the least - it is the worst sound card that I have ever purchased for the price. The...
Yes you can run it and make it look good with a respectable frame rate. I am using a similar system except I only have 2GB of RAM. I am playing at 1280x1024 @ 40+ FPS on a mix of med - very high settings. The volumetric effects and water quality are the two options that bring my 8800GT to its...
I just have one question about "spread spectrum" settings. You say to disable it or it will cause instability.
I am using a craptastic board (ECS RS485M-M) with a 3800+ X2 with some DDR2-800 RAM. The highest FSB I can achieve is 230MHz, that is with the spread spectrum set to +/-5%. If I...
