  • So this be a little late and I can't remember if you made it work, but......testing with 2 x 1440p 165Hz + 1 x 4K120, I'm not sure it is possible for any AMD/Nvidia GPU to keep low mem clock for triple displays, if at least one is 4K high refresh. Adding monitor #3 brings me up to 30W, which is full mem clock (2625MHz). Doesn't matter if it's a native 165Hz panel or 60Hz panel.

@Todestrieb ah I thought you had a 1440p monitor in there somewhere. 1080p would definitely explain things. Changing refresh rate or CRU tricks don't help, I think it's just reaching a point of too much throughput. 2 x 1440p165 and 1440p165+4K120 are no problem, it's always 12W and 14W.

@Count von Schwalbe keywords 4K and high refresh

Running things through a quick calculator (assuming all are running 10-bit). Not how NV/AMD actually calculate mem clock but still
    • your brother's 2x setup (and mine): 44.46Gbps (43.80Gbps)
    • your 3x setup: 56.73Gbps
    • count's 3x setup: 23.88Gbps
    • mine 3x setup atm: 79.63Gbps
No change when PCIe LSPM is set max power savings, sadly. Maybe it's a PCIe 3.0 vs 4.0 difference?

I'm sure both my 1080p can't do 10bit, but there was no change on setting my 4K to 8bit.

Not suprised if your setup is too heavy for the VRAM clocks to stay low.

For info, my MB is a B450 (PCIe 3.0). My brother is on a X570, so PCIe 4.0 I guess (unless sth wonky happened).

I swear the DSR thing is not a joke, Try it! I don't think you need to set a higher resolution to make it work.
Unless its something referring to a show/movie etc, you wanna change your name to Todes trieb,
as its not a single word...

    First message yay!

It is a reference to a song / character in a Japanese arcade rhythm game, with a potentially fatal dose of weebiness, so……….
