    GTX 770 Overclockers Thread

Yeah, I didn't really think much about it on my first build with my 570 and as a result got high temps with a loud fan, never caused any real issues though. Now I am a lot lot happier, the ACX is cool and a lot quieter then the PNY cooler.

    GTX 770 Overclockers Thread

I am starting to realise how lucky I was that the PNY was out of stock, my first choice was the PNY as I had the PNY570 and loved it but when I went to get my 770 they didn't have the PNY in stock and I heard a lot of good stuff about the ACX coolers on EVGA cards so I got that, I play AC4 on...

Thanks for the tip, I will keep that in mind from now on.

Yeah I had a look at geforce experience but it tends to set everything too low for me, I prefer best quality over high FPS so I just bump it all up to max and OC for that little boost.

It's a great game, worth the wait. I'm running it at 1680x1050, it's not terrible FPS but it wasn't steady 60, I did max out every setting possible though o_O

I still haven't got around to seeing what my clocks are while gaming, I will try and remember tonight. I know I don't need to OC but I have never done it before and fancied a go, also I got assassins creed black flag for free when I got my 770 and I got low FPS on there, worth OCing a bit for that.

I'm on my way home from work now so I will test it when I get back and let you know.

    GTX 770 Overclockers Thread

Hey guys, I've just got a GTX 770 and while there is really no need to OC it a lot of us will, just because we can so I was wondering what speeds everyone is getting. I want a nice stable clock and I am currently using EVGA PRECISION X 4.2.1 for OC and EVGA Scanner for testing. I am doing +70...

    6-8pin adapter

I love it, having Internet problems but it's not my PC, think the routers gone. I OC'd the card with EVGA precision, I need to look into the best way to OC the CPU, bit of an OC noob, once it's done I'll post benchmarks for everyone who helped to see, is there a thread for that?

    6-8pin adapter

I ended up just buying more extensions, the ones I have are all sleeved as one and not very well either so I got; 1x24pin, 1x8pin CPU, 1x6pin PCI and 1x8->8pin PCI individually sleeved, no worries at all about functionality and it will look great, best of both worlds.

    6-8pin adapter

Not just that, I will only go for the looks if it's not hindering the functionality, but if I can have both, I will, if the 6 -> 8pin was bad, I'd get a new 8 -> 8pin. The appearance of my PC is important though and with all the options out there, why wouldn't it be.

    6-8pin adapter

One more thing I want to say is that, the 8 pin isn't one solid 8, it's a 6 and 2 and they are a very tight fit, the extra 2 pins in the adapter are not dead straight, is that something to worry about?

    6-8pin adapter

That's what I thought but wanted to double check, I need more white braided extensions anyway, 24 pin and 8 pin CPU so I'll get an. 8-8 gpu too. It's just because it a white braided extension for appearance, looks amazing. It's a 1x6 -> 1x8 and I have a cooler master prom 700w

    6-8pin adapter

Hey guys, just got a new EVGA GTX 770, yet , so happy, I also got some white braided extensions which look amazing in my build, they make such a big difference, the thing is, they are 6-8pin adapters, my PSU does have 8 pin connectors so I don't need an adapter, will it make a difference, I'm...

Upgrade AMD or swap to Intel??

Yeah I know that but most program's will be installed on the HDD, the SSD is mainly for the OS and a couple of regularly used program's. Oh yey -_- it's going to take a week to sort it all out, maybe more :)
