Forceware 185.20 Beta Leaked

On a side note, these drivers fixed the SLI issues I was having with Red Alert 3 and my 9800 GX2. No more strange textures, I'm very pleased.

Can someone else check this, but I cannot change any of the Program Specific Settings on the Nvidia control Panel with these drivers. I'm on Vista x64.
Global settings work fine, but I cant change Program-Specifics, the drop down are empty!
:wtf:

Uncheck the "Only show installed programs" box.

111 mb.. didn't expect that.
guess it's due to the physx being in there as well..

I'll be trying it in a bit on mass effect see how it runs.
I had to stop playing gta 4 because of the 180.84 drivers..
destroyed my ps3 controller.

game sucked anyway..lol..
But I'm only one scene from beating it, so might as well..

The Laptopvideo2go versions are only ~87MB with the PhysX.

EDIT: figures I spoke to soon..This thing decided to change my native res to like 1700 x 1000 or some crap..
It's not overscanning..
it's just changing the res to fit..
how annoying..

It might be worthwhile though...
As long as it keeps my games at 1920x1080 I'll be happy.
lower res on the desktop would just increase performance anyway..
but the problem I always had was.
when I go from any other res up to 1920x1080 it tends to blow the overscan.
So I get into a game.. and the transition to 1920x1080 ends up having the screen be cut off from some glitch.

EDIT:
ruins my game resolutions.. I loose picture from all sides..
left, right, top and bottom are cut off when I use this overscan..
great.. some other crap I get to look forward to nvidia screwing me with down the road.

The links in the OP died because TooManyDownloads seems to have removed it. As soon as one of our downloads staff comes online, I'll have them uploaded to our servers. Meanwhile I've used alternative links thanks to newtekie1.

No 181.00 tests :(?

Anyway, it seems these 185.20 drivers offer a decent performance boost over the older 180/181 drivers.

Doubt there is any performance difference with 180.98 vs. 181.00 :)

Not the most stable drivers, people are reporting crashes on another forum. Well they are fast beta drivers, can't be perfect in all areas.

but they should be, as what most People Are Claiming NV Drivers have over AMD is Stability?

The files are now hosted by our servers, updated the links.

These gave me a score of 12107 on Vista SP1 x64 in 3dmark Vantage (a boost of over 250 on 180.xx drivers) and they give a score of 12120 on Windows 7 (Build 7000) x86.
So I have to say, these seem like some excellent drivers! Nice one NV :rockout:

Please no fanboyisms here... keep these kind of threads unbiased.

whos is this or what game is she from Binge???

some Beta drivers works about 99,9 propperly even if then ain't are meant to be released before time, but hey it's your own choose to download, install them and use them:)

beta is iffy.. alpha..lol..
no thanks..
I'll stay on the 175 drivers...
stuck using these with mass effect XD..
otherwise it's the 180.48..
the .84's are screwey for anything but GTA4.
They better fix that overscan crap though.

Damn; just as I sold my 8800GT and bought a 4870 >_>

Can anybody with these drivers post a screenshot of the SSAO in action, I'd like to see how well it works + the impact on performance

me too :toast:

No problems to report with these yet. The one nuance was a wierd resolution upon booting with these drivers, changed it to 1920x1200 and it's been fine since.
