Cooler Master has a new flagship CPU air-cooler in the making: the V10. This V8 successor with its peculiar design and size is sure to catch some attention. With the way in which the V8 was designed, it became clear than Cooler Master has a new direction with its product design, and that they looked to give their CPU coolers a somewhat industrial look. Measuring 236.5 x 129 x 161.3mm, this definitely is a large cooler and could have problems fitting in all cases.

Its peculiarity lies in its aluminum fin arrays, three in number. While two of them propagate vertically, the third one propagates horizontally, along the plane of the motherboard. A 120mm fan pushes air through two of those arrays, while a second 120mm fan blows air onto the third array. Ideally, this third array should hang above the memory modules to provide active cooling, that is, if the modules aren't tall enough. A total of four heat-pipes convey heat to the fins. The two PWM-controlled fans spin at speeds between 800 and 2400 rpm, while the noise levels are maintained around 17 dBA. The V10 will be announced during the ongoing CES event, and will be priced around 100~150€ according to French website Case&Cooling.

Woot, V10 ey? I know they have a V12 prototype, wonder when will they release a W16! Bad@$$

This looks like an interesting and different design. It's quite huge though. The V8's cooling performance was surprisingly really good despite having "gimmick" written all over it. Can't wait to see how the V10 fairs in terms of performance.

Nothing for people using RAM with heatspreader... does the horizontal fin array even make sense?

The thought of what they have done is good. Pretty sweet also.. But, if it doesn't move up and down... I guess they made it for the Non oc'ers...

i think that V10 wouldnt fit with my ram it probley hit it

Its honking huge and Im glad they are finally releasing it. That is hella expensive though. I was hoping maybe around 60 bucks for the cooler if that. It looks like it will have clearance issues in any board.

Be kinda daft to make the ram cooler part move as i can just picure it right now how many people yank there CPU's out of there mobo's moving it lol...

Unless you mean before you install the dam thing.

what is that case in the picture, i love it, looks like the HAF yet its a little different? Anyone?

I think it's the unreleased Coolermaster Sniper case, I agree it looks pretty cool. It's meant to be the HAF's little brother or something. In most of the pictures I've seen it comes with a black interior which looks awesome.

ahh, i see, i was hoping it'll be bigger than the HAF, i'm actually shopping for a case now and HAF is my top choice. I just dont want to buy it and then have this Sniper come out and be better, lol

anhy idea on release date?

PSU upside down ?. Would like it more if the PSU had more space from the mobo. Oh don't like those drive bays either lol.

Another though hate to have to upgrade the ram on that system.

I like the V10 cooler, its the successor of the TX-2 cooler from Coolermaster which I liked:).

yea i think they have to do some work with ram clearance issue cuz there is no way many types of corsair will fit under that

It looks to me like there is plenty of room for RAM like Corsair Dominators.

but no clearance for OCZ reapers or anything like that. The thing is massive though... good lord. I'm thinking about the V8 for my AM3 build... and this thing im sure is sweet, but damn is it big.

On the case, It looks pretty sweet. And I think the person that installed that PSU was confused... dunno why you would want to suck warm air to 'cool' the supply...

We'll know soon enough if it will be able to fit Doms or Pii's! :rockout:
