  • It's faster too :D I haven't benchmarked it yet to compare it to my old 4870 1gb yet but I'm sure the score will be double.
I love it :) Haven't found a game I can't max out yet. I just got back from best buy, grabbed GTAIV, maybe I won't be so luck with it lol The only thing I can complain with on the card is that it's LOUD but if you have headphones on you can't hear it anyway.. I'd rate it a 9.5, it loses .5 because I had to change some stuff in CCC before I got it working 100% on my HD monitor.
Your PM is disableed so I cannot reply to your question so will try here.......

No not at all, in fact much of the heat still passes out of the back of the case as the fans are angled that way, slightly more heat does remain in the case in comparison to the reference coolers but I have seen only a 2C ambient increase on both CPU/Chipset etc. The main reason why I bought this card is because of this cooling, ATM there is no aftermarket cooling for the 4890 (which I like also and there is little difference in performance, apparently the 277 is a little faster at stock, dont know when overclocked), I also have a 4870x2 and to be honest, I am just getting really tired of ATi's noisy cooling solutions, this card with fan set on auto at &20Mhz on the core gets upto only 55% fan speed which is inaudible!
