You know we always try to share with you all these crazy world records and overclocking attempts that happen in a global scale, and today we have one more to show. Overclockers Vince "k|ngp|n" Lucido and Peter Tan "Shamino" have united to break the 40k barrier in 3DMark Vantage, an astonishing accomplishment. Except these two man, behind this record hides an Intel X58 platform. The motherboard used was a standard EVGA X58 SLI running BIOS SZ1C combined with an LN2 cooled Core i7 965 at 5110MHz (even running on higher core speeds as you'll see down below). Memory used was a Kingston 3GB HyperX DDR3 2000MHz CL9 kit clocked at 1080MHz with timings of CL8-7-7-21. Finally, the GPUs of choice were two volt-modded EVGA GTX 295+ working in Quad-SLI, cooled by LN2 again. The new official 3DMark Vantage world record was set for the Performance segment with a properly calculated score of P40398 marks. wowza check out the speeds on those GTX295's!

1045 core / 1252 mem / 1080 shaders !!!!!!!!!

across all four cores, his pixel fillrate is almost 120 G/Pixels, where one GTX280 ahs almost 20...

there guys are my heroes

ppssshhh thats nothing I do this in my sleep, lol.

Those guys are crazy. This must be the best OC team ever. Props to them!

:rockout:

Just imagine if this system was in a case and its sold for normal people (us), I wonder how much fps I'm gonna get in Crysis maxed out...

Well it is. You just have to constantly feed it with LN2.

I want to game on it.:)

Insane....that would be 20 kilo´s of silicon boobs in the real world....

Forgive my ignorance -- is EVGA's "E-LEET" just CPU-Z? Is it sanctioned?

It's got more than just cpu-z. It's a full blown OC tweaker with integrated cpu-z

Someone should quietly let them know that TechPowerUp GPU-Z v0.3.1 is available.

That's a HOLY SHIT score!

Yeah, quite old version to use on a brand spanking new GPU and would get rid of those unknowns.

sigh....

k|ngp|n's always been my hero....

we could be doing so much nice stuff together....
