Amazon announced on Thursday that is has launched a service to allow users to trade in used video games for credit that can go toward the purchase of new titles. The service, which currently includes 1,500 titles from across all platforms, allows users to pick which games they own and want to trade in. Once the used game is mailed in, the user receives credit that can go towards new or used games, as well as any other items sold on Amazon.com. Also worth noting, Amazon is offering higher trade-in prices for used games compared to competitors like Gamestop.

Oh you mean when they buy your used Xbox 360 HDD for ~$20 and sell it for ~$100? Yeah they are ripoff artists. They will sell you a used copy of Street Fighter IV for $5 less than the cost of a new copy. Yet trade in is basically half. /endrant

Yeah I found that out the hardway years ago. They are ripoff artists.

Back around the time that Hitman Silent Assassin came out, I wanted to sell it to gamestop. I beat it once then quit playing it. It was mint condition and they offered me $5 for it. I said "yeah okay. Youll buy it from me for $5 and sell it off for $45? I dont think so."

I know it's crazy. I just collect PC games anywise so when I buy them I keep them.

lol you guys are cracking me up. thankfully you can sell or trade your used games right here on TPU!

Yeah But Gamestop=Ripoff.

yea gamestop is a ripoff but it is convenient for me and now we have atleast another alternative so we dont feel compelled to go to gamestop!

eBGame's used to be good for this but Gamestops being replacing them as there both the same company.

EBGames rules and Gamestop sucks totally and sure they know it but like most don't give a fly hell about PC users so i don't buy of them any more my self.

Can't stand Amazon UK, their service sucks balls. Teabagging scum :)
