The ASUS Republic of Gamers (R.O.G) OC Station first surfaced at the CES event earlier this year, where it was referred to as G-Panel. Heading towards a gala Computex launch, perhaps along with the recently pictured Crosshair III Formula, the OC Station represents the company's attempts to woo the professional overclocker with a hardware OC management device.

The ROG OC Station is a device that features controls for the system's overclocking on the fly, along with various temperature, voltage, and fan speed control/monitoring added to the mix. As a fan controller, the OC station provides output to four fans. The device connects to the ROG series motherboard and provides "hardware-based OC", meaning that it isn't merely a human-interface extension for a software running on the OS. Controls are care of three buttons along with a rotary switch, while a TFT-LCD screen keeps the user posted about clock-speeds, voltages, fan-speeds and temperatures, which might help when the system's display is busy running a 3D benchmark. The device can be used on the desk, where it's front panel moves along a hinge, for better user orientation, or its 2U size can occupy two 5.25-inch drive bays on a PC case.

Damn overclocking is now so easy, is like playing games.

Nifty device, but yeah...

... what he said. Greetings, fellow swiss dude:toast:

Great looking gagdet, the average overclockers will love it.

LMAO @ Εnglish inpai...doesn't even points out its source:shadedshu

It will look funny on my case:(
does it only come in one colour though?

the TFT-LCD screen looks good.. :)

Nice to meet you mate. :rockout::toast:

So every ROG series motherboard can connect this device ? Mine too ?

it's knob seems to be very high thus on modern case it might not fit under the "hood" that covers the 5.25 Drives

Why the hell doesn't they include different ones for the big knob? just in case someone want to change the height?

Oh, another problem:(
I don't have a ROG mobo:(

cant wait to see someone with that at a lan.

*turns knob up and walks away*

(gets fragged cuz falling off chair at lan LOLing at evil Mussels)
really though is the bios just that tedious...would you pay money for this?

That gets one thinking. Imagine a newb buys this device. Turns the knob to 18GHz, and frzzzzzzt. And then he sues Asus, because they have not printed 10 inch large letters on the device that says anything about oc'ing might shorten lifespan etc. And he gets rich and Asus goes bancrupt.:slap: Okay a bit far off, but still. Oc'ing being this easy can lead to many innocent hardware devices dieing.

Again, still needs a better face.

so next year newbies and beginners beat as in overclock

Fugly.

Need brushed aluminum or do not want.

I don't care about brushed aluminum or face, features are what I would use it for. I not sure if I would hook up my up-coming fan upgrade a deltas which have 30watts draw to this oc controllers fan outs as it would fry it.

But, there is still a go around to hook up high wattage fans to a rheostat then have a signal line from this Asus oc controller to pulse the rheostat.

At any rate......since it's all boxed up and ready to ship out...why don't they give out the bleeding price already???

looks ok...

Nah not fugly brushed alu = only other thing than plastic which is NO BETTER! :banghead:
Plus i dont see alot of space for "brushing", or even NOTICING even its not ALU. Im glad they didnt go with old school gauges witch are "for show" with no real use. My only concerens are price (ROG) annnnnd that the print its big enough to read with no squints. I say this because we can already see "the REAL screen" in the pic. Im sure this item just be the POSTER on a larger scale, u can load OC profiles from the current ROG poster too right? If u can then it beats squating down with some lil tool on a flimbsy wire.
