Patriot Brings a Cost Effective Solution to Gaming Memory

Thanks for that DaC, i was wondering why the timings werent disclosed LOL. Reminds me of A-Data releasing their gaming DDR2 not so long back. Anyway.. they'd bloody want to be cheap for those specs.

but they are stock at 800 4-4-4-12 2v so these sticks could do they same you don't know that they wont.

i'll stick with my patriot vipers... 5-5-5-15 @ 2.1V and are only $42 for 2x 2gb after MIR at newegg.

what is the deal lately with all these manufacturers releasing junk ram and trying to make it sound fancy? that stuff better be DIRT cheap...

Yeah, I know we couldn't say much before overclock, but damn it man... 7-7-7-20 2.1v for 1066 is far from being only conservative, I really don't think this one would overclock a thing.

with patriot, the way it worked (at least a couple years ago) was:

XBL (Xtra Bandwidth and Latency) > LL (low latency) > EL (Eased Latency) > Signature (value)

It isn't supposed to be great overclocking memory. Just wait and see if they get their hands on some of that Elpida Hyper MNH-E stuff. I've been waiting for another XBL kit for a while :\

My old Patriot 1gb kit of XBL was amazing stuff. PC3200, also rated for PC4200, i had it clocked up to DDR620 for a few weeks. Solid stuff. Still have it. TCCD + Brainpower PCB.

Wait wait wait... I saw cdawall say something about overclockability??? No. Just no. These are worse than the crucial 1066 memory. These are rated for cas 9 as enhanced latency??? My ass! Oh wow, dingleberries in dipping sauce this is a load of marketing BS. Light weight aluminum heat spreaders help the memory move faster through the air as I throw them out the window. Just buying some crucial 1066 memory will serve a more positive experience unless they can put that kit below $40.
