Patriot Memory, a global pioneer in high-performance memory, NAND flash and computer technology, today announced the release of their "G" Series DRAM memory kits.

Patriot will spotlight its new "G" Series kits around their 'Enhanced Latency' line for both DDR2 and DDR3 products. With the Patriot "G" Series, you get the look and feel of many of the high end, gaming memory products, but with an advantageous price.

"Consumers are looking for options; our goal is to give them the opportunity to add new technology, at a reasonable cost," says JR Wakabayashi, Patriot's Marketing Manager. "Patriot's 'G' Series is designed with the same quality and reliability that has made Patriot Memory a steadfast name in the gaming industry. The "G" Series will help us reach that segment that is looking for something new and original, but needs an economical solution."

Cost effective... nice... now where's the price? >.>

LoL, more joke (junk)..... never mind about that guys....
DDR2 PGS24G8500C7K 1066 7-7-7-20 @ 2.1v and they still have the balls to call it enhanced Latency.... is enhanced for poor performance. That's why timings were not disclosed on PR.

DDR2-800 5-5-5-15 @ 1.9v

PC3-10666 (1333MHz) 9-9-9-24 1.5V

Tri channel kits for i7 is a little better, I mean..... less terrible.
PC3-12800 (1600MHz) 9-9-9-24 1.65V
PC3-10666 (1333MHz) 9-9-9-24 1.65V

Wow my crucials do 1066 5-5-5-15 at 2.0v. Enhanced latency my anus. Those DDR3 kits don't look that great either.

Thanks for that DaC, i was wondering why the timings werent disclosed LOL. Reminds me of A-Data releasing their gaming DDR2 not so long back. Anyway.. they'd bloody want to be cheap for those specs.

PC3-10666 (1333MHz) 9-9-9-24 1.65V

again these are stock clocks for all you know they could be the next great clockers.

but they are stock at 800 4-4-4-12 2v so these sticks could do they same you don't know that they wont.

Not bad and love the look, but not happy with the latencies.

i'll stick with my patriot vipers... 5-5-5-15 @ 2.1V and are only $42 for 2x 2gb after MIR at newegg.

what is the deal lately with all these manufacturers releasing junk ram and trying to make it sound fancy? that stuff better be DIRT cheap...

Yeah, I know we couldn't say much before overclock, but damn it man... 7-7-7-20 2.1v for 1066 is far from being only conservative, I really don't think this one would overclock a thing.

with patriot, the way it worked (at least a couple years ago) was:

XBL (Xtra Bandwidth and Latency) > LL (low latency) > EL (Eased Latency) > Signature (value)

It isn't supposed to be great overclocking memory. Just wait and see if they get their hands on some of that Elpida Hyper MNH-E stuff. I've been waiting for another XBL kit for a while :\

My old Patriot 1gb kit of XBL was amazing stuff. PC3200, also rated for PC4200, i had it clocked up to DDR620 for a few weeks. Solid stuff. Still have it. TCCD + Brainpower PCB.

Patriot Gamer Series (PGS), part of the Extreme Performance (EP) Enhanced Latency line is engineered to expand your gaming options. These modules are designed to operate at 1600MHz at 9-9-9-24 timings and is available in 6GB kit capacity. Equipped with lightweight aluminum heat-dispersing shields, these modules are designed for maximum performance and stability under extreme overclocking conditions. Engineered with quality and Performance in mind, Patriot Extreme Performance line is the ultimate solution for extreme overclockers, gamers, and PC enthusiasts.

Wait wait wait... I saw cdawall say something about overclockability??? No. Just no. These are worse than the crucial 1066 memory. These are rated for cas 9 as enhanced latency??? My ass! Oh wow, dingleberries in dipping sauce this is a load of marketing BS. Light weight aluminum heat spreaders help the memory move faster through the air as I throw them out the window. Just buying some crucial 1066 memory will serve a more positive experience unless they can put that kit below $40.

I see a Lot of Hate against Patriot here....... Well I guess they deserved for this BS PR talk and for, unless cdwall is right, for trying to scam consumers with this kind of talk.

it's cas 9 at 1.65V... I wouldn't trust it.

Mine are 5-5-5-12 @990

heyyyyyy 2X4g kits finaly ANOTHER CHOICE lol
