Mods:
The tech station was built using parts from Lowes. Followed the HSPC Top Deck design to build up this tech station. The hard drives were mounted upside down underneath the top layer. The 92mm fan cools the hard drives. The two 120mm fans cooler the memory, chipsets and add additional CPU cooler airflow. The PSU and DVD drive were also mounted to the tech station to make it LAN portable.

Nice work, 10/10 buddy! I really like the hanging hard drives. SSD would have been a nice touch.

Edit: waiting 17 minutes to vote, stupid rules. There we go, 1st to vote!

good work

im not real big on torture rack type setups just cause i have kids and they like to stick there fingers in moving parts, but you have have some nice personal touches on this one, wich its hard to do that with this kind of setup, 7/10 let me know what you think of my setup.http://www.techpowerup.com/gallery/2228.html

Looks dang classy for a ghetto bench ;)

A 5 and 6? Sheeshh.....I need to start coating my rigs in gold.

Nice job John 10/10 I love it! Hows the rig running? Pretty fast? :p Whats the max OC you can get on your i7?

Thanks Jess! Right now my max benchable is 4.2. I'm sure I can go higher. I've yet to go above 1.35v so I know there is room. I'll see what it will do tonight. Is it fast.. thats an understatement. This is the fastest machine I've ever used/seen in person, period. It is ridiculous how much faster this is than my Phenom II rig was... its not even a close comparison lol.

Lol sweet. I can't wait to get my rig all bought and put together.

I like how you still performed a some cable management on a tech station :) I also really like your idea with mounting the hdd underneath the top shelf, Very nice Tech Rig! 9/10

i would like to do a little comparison with you, if you would could you post either a 3dmark06 or a 3dmarkvantage score for me, i would like to see how your i7, 4870x2 rig scores against my q9650, crossfire rig. not a compatition or anything just want to see the difference.

Sure, here is my latest 3DMark06 score:

I've yet to run Vantage. I'll do that tonight if I have time.
