I-O Data Japan today released the elegant-looking HDL-C "LAN-disk". Simply put, this is a NAS device with only one fixed hard drive. It measures 42(W)×195(D)×120(H) mm, and weighs 1.5 kg with its drive. Its connectivity is care of 1000BASE-T/100BASE-TX/10BASE-T Ethernet, and USB 2.0. It comes with the hard drive pre-installed, and is available in capacities of 500 GB, 1 TB and 1.5 TB. The three are priced at 13,600 JPY, 18,900 JPY, and 24,200 JPY respectively. It will debut in Japan, next month.
